PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that public business is conducted transparently by
limiting the use of electronic devices during City Council meetings and Closed Session
discussions.
POLICY
No City Council member shall email, text, utilize social media such as Facebook or
Twitter, or otherwise communicate via cell phone, personal computer or other electronic
device during a City Council meeting or Closed Session meeting. Use of electronic
devices shall be strictly limited to accessing, reviewing and annotating City Council
Agenda packets stored on the device or on the City’s website.
