HomeMy WebLinkAboutCouncil Policy No. 300-11 - Employee Cost of Living Expenses CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA COUNCIL POLICY MANUAL SUBJECT: Employee Cost of Living Policy No. 300-11 Increases Effective Date: 7-27-04 Revised: 9/12/06 Page No. 1 of 1 BACKGROUND Since approximately 1988, it has been the understanding of the City Council and City staff that the negotiated Cost of Living increases included in the Union Memorandum of Understanding were intended for all staff, including Union Members, Non-Union Members, Mid-Managers and Managers. PURPOSE The purpose of this policy is to ratify and memorialize the informal, unwritten policies under which the City has operated or at least sixteen years. POLICY Except for the City Manager, the City Clerk and the City Attorney who shall be compensated and receive such benefits as are individually negotiated and set forth in the terms and conditions of their respective contracts, it is the Policy of this City Council that all negotiated Cost of Living increases negotiated by the LIUNA Local 777 or any subsequent employee union shall apply to all employees of the City of Lake Elsinore, whether Union, Non-Union or Management.
