A RFSOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CTI'I' OF LAKE EISINORE REQUESTING
Tf~ RIVERSIDE COUNTY LACAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
AMEND Tf~ SPHERE OF INFLUENCE OF Tf-~ C1TY OF LAKE ELSINORE
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elsinore has been noti5ed by the Riverside County
Local Agency Formation Commission that the Commission intends to review the sphere of
influence of the City of Lake Elsinore; and
WHEREAS, Section 56428 of the Government Code provides that a local agency
may file a written request with the Executive Off'icer of a Commission requesting
amendments to a sphere of influence adopted by the Commission; and
WI-IEREAS, the City has conducted a study to determine the appropriate logical and
orderly future physical boundaries and service area of the City, and said study entitled
"Report Accoropanying a Request for Amendment of the Sphere of Influence of the City of
Lake Elsinore" has indicated several areas where changes are appropriate to the eadsting
sphere of influence of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore has determined that a
request formalizing the changes to the sphere of influence recommended in said Report be
submitted to the Riverside County I.ocal Agency Formation Commission to assist the
Commission in its review of the sphere of influence of the City and to provide to the
Commission the position of the City with respect to the City's sphere of influence; and
WHEREAS, a map showing the various proposed changes in the City's cunent
sphere of influence is contained in the aforementioned report;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, that this Resolution Requesting
Amendments to the Sphere of Influence of the City of Lake Elsinore is hereby adopted and
approved by the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore, and the City Clerk is hereby
directed to 51e certified copies of this Resolution and the accompanying Report with the
Executive O~cer of the Riverside County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Lake
Elsinore, Califomia, this 24th day of October, 199Q by the following vote:
