A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

WHEREAS, Section
10.24.010 of the
City Council may
LARE ELSINORE~ CALIFORNIA~ DESIGNATING
ERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CITY AS
TRUCR ROUTES
35701 of the California Vehicle Code and Section
Lake Elsinore Municipal Code authorizes that the
designate certain streets as truck routes, and;
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the establishment of said
designated truck route streets is necessary for the proper control
of truck traffic within the City, and to minimize damage to street
pavement
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Lake Elsinore hereby designates the following streets as truck
routes and establishes the following restrictions relative thereto:

State Highway 74:
Lake St/Robb Road:
Lakeshore Dr.:
Collier Ave:
Spring Street:
Spring Street:
Lakeshore Dr:
Limited Street:
Short Street:
Sumner Ave:
Main Street:
Lakeshore Dr.:
Railroad Canyon Rd:
Mission Trail:
Corydon Road:
North City Limits to South City Limits
East City Limits to West City Limits
I-15 Freeway to Lakeshore Drive
Robb Road to Riverside Drive
Central Street to Spring Street
Collier Street to Limited Street
Limited Street to Lakeshore Dr.
(Southbound only)
Spring Street to Short Street
(Eastbound only)
Spring Street to Main Street
(Westbound only)
Lakeshore Drive to Limited
Spring Street to Main Street
Sumner Avenue to I-15 Freeway
Short Street to Railroad Canyon Road
Lakeshore Drive to East City Limits
Railroad Canyon Rd. to South City Limits
Mission Trail to South City Limits
2. No person shall operate or park any vehicle exceeding a
maximum gross weight limit of three (3) tons on any street or
portion thereof within the City except for those streets herein
designated as truck routes.
3. The vehicle weight restrictions established herein shall not
be effective for any of the following:
A. Vehicles subject to the provisions of Section 1031=1036
inclusive of the Public Utilities Code.
B. Vehicles owned by a public utility or a licensed
contractor while necessarily in use in the construction,
installation, or repair of any public utility.
C. Commercial vehicles coming from an unrestricted street
having ingress or egress by direct route to and from a
restricted street when necessary for the purpose of
making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares and
merchandise from or to any building or structure located
on the restricted street or for the purpose of delivering
materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair,
alteration, remodeling or construction of any building
or structure upon the restricted street for which a
building permit has been previously obtained.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Services is
hereby directed to post signs alonq the above stated locations
identifying said designated truck routes. The provisions of this
Resolution shall not be effective until and unless appropriate
signs are erected identifying designated truck routes.
