RESOLUTION NO. '. ..'
WHEREAS the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company has for many years maintained a station and operated a
line to Elsinore, California, and
WHEREAS, the railroad has indicated its intention to
close the station and discontinue service to Elsinore, and
WHEREAS, Lake Elsinore has been created a State Park
of the State of California, and acquisition of additional lands
for park purposes and development of the lake are planned by the
Division of Beaches and Parks, and funds for the commencement of
this program have been appropriated by the Legislature, and
WHEREAS, it would be detrimental to the future
development of the Elsinore State Park as well as to the present
community of Elsinore to have rail transportation discontinued,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Elsinore that it does hereby object to the discontinuance
of service to Elsinore by the Santa Fe Railway, and that a copy
of this resolution be forwarded to the Public Utilities
Commission of the State of California, and to the railroad.

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elsinore, pursuant to Article IV, Section 2, Subsection D, of
Ordinance No. 268 of the City of Elsinore, that, effective as
of the date hereof, parking is prohibited between the hours
of 3:00 o'clock A.M. to 6:00 A.M. o'clock on Main Street in
the 100 Block South, 200 Block South, 100 Block North, and
200 Block North; and on Graham Street, in the 100 Block East,
100 Block West, 200 Block West, 300 Block West and 400 Block
West.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that appropriate signs indicating
the prohibitive area, and t'l'E times of such prohibition, be
installed in appropriate places in said area.

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elsinore, pursuant to Article IV, Section 2, Subdivision D
of Ordinance No. 268 of the City of Elsinore, that, effective
as of the date hereof, parking is prohibited in front of the
United States Post Office on Graham Street in the City of
Elsinore, from the alley to a point 44 Feet East thereof,
except for the purpose of utilizing the drive-in main deposit
box.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that appropriate signs be
installed indicating that parking is restricted to three minutes
and that the street curb be painted white.

'BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elsinore that the demand for reimbursement filed with the City
Clerk on February 19, 1959, by PAUL P. PAYNE, in the amount of
$575.00 for damage to certain trees resulting from a fire pur-
portedly caused by the employees of the City of Elsinore, be,
and the same is hereby denied., also c1aint not timely filed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is instructed
to notify the said Paul P. Payne that bis claim is rejected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is
instructed to refer this matter to the insurance carrier of
this type of claim for the city.

would result in the accelerated transmittal of local sales tax collections.

The City Council of the City of Elsinore, County of Riverside,
State of lalifornia, do ordain as follows:
That it is the intention of the City Council to vacate and
close Langstaff street from Minthorn street north to the
railroad right of way, and the alley from Poe Street south-
easterly to the railroad right of way, and a time and place
for a hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to
the proposed vacating and closing, shall be on the 22nd. ~
of June 1959, at the hour of 8:00 thereof, at the City Hall,
City of Elsinore; that the time and place shall be published,
according to law, in the newspaper, or shall be posted con-
spicuously along the line of said street proposed to be
vacated and such notices shall not be more than 300 fto apart
and at "least three such notices shall be posted, according to
law. Reference to map of City of Elsinore in office of the
City Clerk is hereby made.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance
and shall cause the same to be published for two (2) days in
the newspapero

RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELSINORE DECLARING ITS SUPPORT OF THE POSITION OF
THE LEAGUE OF CITIES OJ? RIVERSIDE COUNTY, AS
DECLAHED AT ITS MEETING AT PALM SPRINGS ON JUNE
18, 1959, REGARDING BRADLEY...BURNS UNI FORM SALES
AND USE TAX..
WHEREAS, at the meeting held at Palm Springs on June 18, 1959, of
the League of Cities of Riverside County, that body adopted as its
position regarding the Bradley.Burns Uniform Sales and Use Tax that
all cities in said county, with the exception of Palm Springs should
agree to continue to contribute ten per cent of the sales tax
revenue to the County of Riverside, and the City of Palm Springs to
continue to contribute five per cent of its revenue to the County
of Riverside, pending receipt of the results of a Cfomprehensive
survey of the situation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: That
the City Council of the City of Elsinore does hereby declare its
support of and agreement with the position as taken by the League of
Cities of Riverside County as above set forth, and does hereby urge
all other cities to conform thereto;
