Home My WebLink AboutCC Reso No 1993-16 RESOLUTION NO. 93-16 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSZNORE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE SPECIAL RECALL ELECTION HELD INS THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE ON TUESDAY, MARCH 30, 1993, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Lake Elsinore, County of Riverside, State of California, on the 30th day of March,1993, pursuant to Section 27000 of the Elections Code; and WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in the time, form and manner as provided by the law; that voting precincts were properly establihsed; that eleciton officers were appoitned and that in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereon, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in the time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of recall elections in c}ties; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 92-88 adopted the 8th day of December, 1992, the County o Riverside Registrar of Voters canvassed the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council, said results are received, attached and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A". NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LARE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That there were fifteen voting precincts established for the purpose of holding said election consisting of the regular election precincts in the City of Lake Elsinore as established for the holding of State and County elections. SECTION 2. That said Special Municipal Recall Election was held for the purpose of considering the following questions: - - Y1:b 1 - -(a) "Shall Gary M. Washburn be recalled ------------I-------- - from the office of Councilman"? - NO I - ---°-°------------------------------------------- °----I---- °-- -(b) If the recall prevails, shall the - BY I - - City Council fill the vacancy by - APPT. I - - appointment or call a special ------------I-------- - election for that purpose? - BY I - - - SPECIAL I - - - ELECTION I - I SECTION 3. That the whole number of votes cast in said City (except absent voter ballots) were 2,205. That the whole number of absentee voter ballots cast in the City was 884, making a total of 3,089 votes cast in said City. G RESOLUTION NO. 93-16 - PAGE TWO SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of said City, a statement of the results of said election, showing: (1) The whole number of votes cast in the City; (2) The questions voted on; (3) The number of votes given at each precinct to each alternative; SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
