WHEREAS, there was presented to the Ctty Council of
the City of Elsinore a proposed easement and a franchise for
encroachment permit to be executed and delivered on behalf of
the C:L ty of Elsinore to the Elsinore Valley ]Vlunicipal lJJater
District for the purpose of enabling said District to construct
and maintain a proposed vJater distribution system to benefit
the inhabitants of Elsino1:'e Valley, and including the inhabitants
of the City of Elsinore therein, after some discussion, and
upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the
following resolutions were adopted:

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AUTHORIZED AGENT OF
THE CITY OF EkINORE TO EXJWUTE AMENDEMENT OF
OLD-AGE AND SURVIVIRS INSURANCE AGREEMEN"l',
WITH 'PHE STATE OF CALIFORNIAQ
WHEREAS, the Oity Council of the City of Elsinore deems it to be in
the best interests or the Oity to execute an amendment of the Old-Age and
Survivors Insurance agreen~nt with the State of California to make provision to
extend coverage under said agreement tOg
(1) All employees in Elective Executive positions with said City effective as
to services performed en and after January 1, 19,6; and
WHEREAS, said agreement waS approved by the Department of Finance on
the 27th day of August, 19,1" providing tel' the inclusion of the eligible IUllplo eel
of the City in the California State Social Security Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE T1 RESOLVED: That the authorized agent of the
01 ty of Elsinore be and he is hereby authorized to execute the said amendment
of the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance agreement wi th the State of California.

ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVING
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDIWRE OF
GAS TAX ALLOCATION FOR MAJOR CITY STREETS.
WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement has been presented
to be entered into with the State of California in accord-
ance with a project statement submitted by the City of

for expenditure of the gas tax allo-
cation to cities for the fiscal year 19" , and
WHEREAS, the city council has heard read said agree-
ment in full and is familiar with the contents thereof;
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city council of the

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE AUTHORIZING THE
CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA FOR STATE PARK PURPOSES.
WHEREAS the State of California through its
authorized agencies has indicated its intention to creat a
Lake Elsinore State Park and to include the follovving des-
cribed real property therein, and
WHEREAS it is the desire of the City of Elsinore to
promote the establishment of such a State Park, and to convey
certain real property owned by the City to the State of
California for such purpose, and
WHEREAS the City of Elsinore is authorized by Section
5151 of the Public Resources Code of the State of California
to donate, convey and grant to the State of California any real
property owned by the City for a park or recreational center, or
a beach used for recreational purposes.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Elsinore, a municipal
corporation, that the City of Elsinore forthwith donate, convey
and grant to the State of California the hereinafter described
real property for purposes of making the same into a State Park,
and the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Elsinore be,
and they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute and
deliver to the State of California, or its duly authorized
representative, a deed conveying said real property owned by
the City of Elsinore to the State of California.
The real
property included in this Resolution is situated in the County
of Riverside, State of California, and is more particularly
described as follows:

Gentlemen:
Available data showing unexpended balances of Chapter 20 and/or Chapter 47
funds indicate that your municipality may have some funds remaining un-
a).located to a project.
If this is so you may 1) have no definite plans for applicable work or
2) have no matching funds available.
In either case these funds will revert to the State Treasury after
December 31, 1956,
Vallejo Sanitation and Flood Control District is now building drainage and
sewerage works and planning fl'l"ther for works to be built during the next
two 0::' three years. this work being financed mainly through the sale o~
bonds authorized by the voters in 1954 in the amount of $6,770,000.00.
Due to the rapid rise in construction costs it appears that the bond funds
will not be sufficient to complete the planned work.
We therefore ask, if you are unable for any reason to make use of your
remaining funds, that they be assigned to Vallejo Sanitation and Flood
Control District as permitted by the subject Act.
I would, on behalf of this District, sincerely appreciate your consider-
ation in this matter.
