A RESOLIITION OF TAE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF T.p,RE ELSINORE~ CALIFQRTI7.A~
APPROVING THE AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION
IN THE OPERATIONAL AREA ORGANIZATION OF
THE COiJ2ITY OF RIVERSIDE
WHEREAS, the potential for a major catastrophe due to
earthquake, flood or ~the.r. natural or manmade disaster causes all
governmental entities within Riverside County to be prepared to
share resources and information amonq themselves as well within the
State of California to protect public welfare; and
WHEREAS, greater effiriency, ~l~.nr.ing and response can be
achieved by joining the efforts of the cities, special districts
and the County together in pre-disaster agreements; and
WHEREAS, the California Eme_gency Services Act makes
refere,_ce to the "^n:rational Area" anc defines it as "an
intermediate level of t_he ~tate 3:nergency Services Organization"
created to perform extraordinary functions for both City and County
governments within a.county area such as strengthening mutual
coordination, providing a focal point and conduit for disaster
information and assisting in the efficient management of resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lake
Elsinore agrees to participate in the Operational ARea Organization
of the County of Rivereide, California.
PAS3ED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of March,
1995, by the following vote:
