WHEREAS, the City CQuncil of the said City of Elsinore, met
at the Council Cha.mber thereof on Wednesda.y, the 4th day of Janu-
ary, 1950 and &fter due deliberation e.nd ca.reful consideration,
moved that it ",muld be to the economic a.nd civic improvement of the
City of Elsinore aI'ld tbe folloHing territory to be annexed, to anne

THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that Notice is hereby given to all
person\ affected by the proposed annexationt desiring to protest
the sa.rne, .to appear at the Council Challlber of the Oi ty Council in
the City Hall of Elsinore, on Monda.y, January 23, 1950, at the hour
of 8: 00 P. M., to show cause why such proposed annexation should
not be carried out .by the said City of Elsinore.
IT IS FURTHER R15S0LVED that the City Clerk shall cause a copy
of this Resolution to be published a.t least once a lleek for the
t\l>Jo( 2) weeks prior to the Hearing, in the Elsinore Leader-Press,
a newspaper of general circulr3:tion, published in sa.id tU. ty.
At any time before the hour set for hearing objections, any
owner of property within the territory hereinabove-described, may
file written protest against the annexation. Protest sha.ll sta.te
the name of the owner of the property affectedt and the description
and area of the property, in general terms.

THE RESULT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTIuN.

WHEREAS a general municipal election was held and conducted in t e
4 City of Eisinore on Tuesday, the 11th day of April, 1950 as require

AND VlliEREAS, it appears the notice of said election was duly and
legally given, that voting precinct~ were properly established, tha

Dear Paul:
In reference to the annexation of uninhabited property
and the protest filed by the Elsinore Water District, I
find that section 35313 of the Government Gode provides
as follows:
"If protest is made by the owners of
one-half of the value of the territory
as shown by the last,equalized asseE3~ment
roll, further proceedings shall not be
'taken" .
I would assume then that unless the Water District can
be induced to withdraw their protest, that the proceed-
ings must be terminated.

RESOLUTION NO. 619
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELSINORE, FOR ANNEXATION OF UNINHABITED TERRI-
TORY.
WHEREAS, the City Council ot the said City of Elsinore met
at the Council Chamber thereof on Monday, the 26th day of June,
1950 and after due deliberation and careful consideration, moved
that it would be to the economic and civic improvement of the City
of Elsinore, and the following territory to be annexed, to annex
the said territory, decided by motion, properly made, seconded and
passed, to annex that certain uninhabited territory situate in the
County of Riverside, State of California, and more particularly
described as:
"The Southwest one-half(1/2) of Parcel 11, Block A,
Elsinore; the Southwest one-half(1/2) of Parcels
4,5,10 and 11 of Goodwin, Whitten and Ellotte sub-
division; and Lots No. 72 to and including Lot 130
of Unit 25, Country Club Heights, further described
as being bounded on the East by Chaney Street, on the
North by Treleven Avenue, on the South by Coolidge Avenue,
on the Southwest by Palm Drive and on the West by
Bastron Aven ue .

Gentlemen:
Inasmuch as the Elsinore Water District is vitally
interested in the property within t~e District as set forth
in Resolution No 620 for annexation of inhabited and un-
inhabited territory and as previously discussed with
Councilman Samuel Farber at our recent Board of Directors
meeting, the following resolution was unanimously passed
and adopted:
RESOLVED: That PresidentW.F. Holmes be and
he is hereby authorized to attend the hearing
re annexation of certain District owned and
other lots within the Elsinore Water District,
by tbeCity of Elsinore, to be held Monday,
July 24, 1950 at 8:00 P.M. at the City Hall and
file written protest of said annexation, said
protest to be withdrawn when the District is
satisfied that the lots so annexed will
(a) not netaX6Q by the City of Elsinore so
long as owned by the District;
(b) will be entitled to the same municipal
benefits with respect to fire, police, water,
school, street and like privileges on the same
basis as any of the lands within the City limits;
(c) that said annexation will not have any ad-
verse effect on the Contract re payment of delinquent
taxes and sharing the proceeds, heretofore executed
between the state 6bntroller and the District.

RESOLUTION OF 'Nm CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ELSINORE ORDERING THE VACATING OF THAT
PORTION OF SILVER STREET LYING BETWEEN
GRAHAM AND HEALD MNUE
BE IT RESOLVED: That, whereas, the City Council of the
City of Elsinore did, on the 9th day of October, 1950, pass
an ordinance declaring its intention to vacate that portion of
Silver Street lying between Graham and Heald A,:Y~11~eS,3, in t1.1.e
City of Elsinore, County of Riverside, S ta te of Californ ia; and,
Whereas, said ordinance of intention did fix the 30th day
of October, 1950, at the hour of 7 o'clock P. M. as the time,
and the City Hall on Main S tree t, in the City of Elsinore, as
the place, for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting
to, the proposed vacation; and,
Whereas, notices of street vacation were posted conspicuously
along the line of the street, or part thereof, proposed to be
vacated ,which said notices were posted not more than 300 feet
apart and at least three of which wet'e posted, and which said
notices did state the passage of the ordinance of intention
and the time ~nd place of the hearing; and,
Vfuereas, a public hearing was held at such time and pllace
before the City Council of the City of Elsinore, at which the
said Council did hear evidence offered by all persons interested;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby find from all
of the evidence submitted, ~~at said portion of Silver Street
described in the ordinance of intention is unnecessary for
present or prospective public street purposes;
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that that portion of Silver Street in
