A RESOLOTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LARS ELSINORE~
RECOGNIZING REPRESENTATION OF THE
EMPLOYEES BY THB ONITED POBLIC
)YEES OF CALIFORNIA (LIUNA LOCAL 777).
WHEREA3, the employees of the City of Lake Elsinore
have submitted a petition requesting that representation by
Public Employees Association of Riverside County be terminated;
and
WHEREAS, the employees have further requested that
representation be provided by United Public Employees of
California, Liuna Local 777; and
WHEREA3, an election was held on March 4, 1996, to
determine the future of representation for the City employees
with results as follow:
Eligible Number of General Unit Members: 31
Number of ballots cast in election: 21
Number of votes cast for:
PERC (Public Employees Association of Riverside County): 1
United Public Employees of California, Liuna Local 777: 18
No Representation 2
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Lake Elsinore, hereby recognizes the United Public
Employees of California, Liuna Local 777, as the group
representing the employees of the City of Lake Elsinore.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby
authorizes individual employee payroll deductions for union dues,
subject to a written request for the deduction, by the employee.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of March,
1996, upon the following vote:
