A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE' CiTY OF LAKE ELSINORE ESTABLISHING
A 25 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIlVIIT
WHEN CHILDREN ARE PRESENT
AT TUSCANY HILLS PARK
WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code 22357.1 provides for the establishment of a prima facie
speed limit of 25 miles per hour on any street adjacent to any children's playground during hours
when children are present by resolution of the City Council; and,
R'HEREAS, Tuscany Hills Park contains playground equipment for young children; and
WHEREAS, said park is adjacent to Summerhill Drive and La Strada; and
WHEREAS, it is determined that a prima facie speed limit of 25 miles per hours on
Summerhill Drive and La Strada is appropriate for the safety and well being of children playing and
otherwise in the park; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lake
Elsinore, hereby establishes a prima facie speed limit of 25 miles per hour on Summerhill Drive and
La Strada adjacent to Tuscany Hills Pazk.
