HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Reso No 1948-544 RESOWTION NO. 544 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR A CALLING OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE 4.th DAY OF JANUARY, 1949, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A PERSON TO FILL THE VACANCY ON THE CITY COUNCIL CAnSED BY THE RESIGNATION OF ROY 1110R'l'ON. 1 2 :3 4 5 W EAS, Roy l'lortom was a duly elected, cwalified and acting 6 councilmap f the City of Elsinore, having been elected for the term 10 11 expiring p'n April 1952; and I }iH~EAS, said Roy Morton did on the 13th day of September, 194$, res~g~ from said office; and I ~JHBjREAS, the City Council of the City of Elsinore has failed to fill suc I vacancy bjr appointment within thirty days after the 7 8 9 and to 12 occurrence f said vacancy. 13 16 14 hereby raso e: THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Elsinore does 16 be, and the ame is hereby called, to be held on the 4th day of a special municipal electioIl in the City of Elsinore, . 17 January, 194 , for the purpose of electing a person to fill the 19 18 vacancy caus d by the resignation of said Roy Horton as Councilman, as such during his unexpired term. 20 City Clerk of the City of Elsinore is hereby directed 21 to give noti e of said election in the form and in the manner provided 22 in Sections 750 and 9751 of the Election Code of the State of California. 23 24 25 26 27 28 That election precincts numbered 1 and 4, be and they are hereby consolidated into one precinct to be known asllElsinore Consolidated Precinct No. All, and jhe voting place for said precinct shall be at the City Hall Fire Station at number 130 South Main Street in the City of Elsinore, County of Ri erside, State of California. Tha election precinct numbered 2 and 3 be, and they are hereby 29 consolidated into one precinct to be known as "Elsinore Consolidated Precinct 10 11 12 13 14 16 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 I That the polls at siad election shall be open from the hour of 2 7:00 o'clock A.M. until 7:00 o'clock P.M. on said election day. :3 That the following election officers shall be appointed for said 4 election and they shall receive for compensation the sum of $10000 dollars 5 A.
