RESOWTION NO. 494

BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Elsinore, that:

It would be beneficial to the City of Elsinore that a special census of the said

City be made by the United States Census Bureau under Federal supervision for the I
I

reason that there has been a large increase in the population of the City of
8

Elsinore since the ll!lst census taken in 1940, and State Revenue is allocated to
cities on the basis of the census and the Council believes that a special census
would result in increased revenue to the City.
That for the foregoing reasons the Mayor, W.P. Smith and the City
Clerk, Paul Kuenzli, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with the Director of the Census, providing for the taking of a special census in
the City of Elsinore.
I, Paul Kuenzli, the duly elected, qualified and acting City Clerk of
the City of Elsinore, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and
correct copy of a r4so1ution adopted at a meeting of the City Council held on the
9th day of February, 1948.
