A resolution of the City Council of the Ci ty 0:[' =asinore,

California, providing for the calling of a special municipal
4 election to be held on the 5th.
day of _1Le~temb~r1947, for
5 the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said city
6 the question whether or not James A. Tarpley shall be recalled
7 and successor ap.pointed or elected in his place and stead.

9 VvlIEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Division .413,
10 Chapter 3, iU"ticle 1, of the Elections Coele of the State of
11 California and the amendments thereto, there has been filed
12 with the City Clerk of the City of Elsinore, petitions stating
13 that an election is to be held in such City of Elsinore, to sub-
14 mi t to the qualified electors of said City the question whetlIer
15 James A. Tarpley, a member of' the City Council of the City of
16 Elsinore, shall be recalled, and successor appointed or elected
17 in his place and stead.

the Clerk of the City Council, as
19 required by Section 11,10) of the Elections Codehas filed his
20 certificate with said City Council, finding and determining that
21 pursuant to the provisions of said IGlections Code, said petitions
22 contain a sufficient nlUIlber of names of qualified electors in said
23 City to require the calling of' said sI)Gcial municipal election;
1m-iN, TEIEHTGFORE, the City Council of tIle City of Iaesinore,
California, does resolve as follows:
Section 1:
That a special municipal election in the City of
Elsinore be, and the san.e is hereby called, to be held on the
5th. day of Septembe~ 1911-7, in order that the )~ollowing

"If the recall prevails, shall the City Council
fill the vacancy by appointment, or cal U.ng a special election
for that purpose?"
Section 2:
That said Paul Kuenzli be required,. as provided by
Section 11,103 of the Elections Code, shall not later than 31
days before said election cause to be published a notice of
election in conformity to and with the provisions of the Inections
Code hereinabove referred to and appertinent provisions of said
Code dealin,g with Municipal Taections in cities of the sixth
class.
Section 3:
That the Inspector, Judge, and Clerk of said
special Election, and the voting precinct therein, shall be that
which is appointed and hereafter designated by the said City
Council of the City of Elsinore.
BE IT FUR11I:IEH RESOI~VIm, that Election Frecinc ts numbered 1,
2 and 3 be, and they are hereby consolidated into one precinct to
be known as Elsinore Consolidated Precinct No. A.
BE IT FURTffEH HESOI,VED, that the voting place for said
elect ion shall be at the City Hall 118 Sooth Main street,
in the City of Elsinore, County of Riverside, State of California.
BE IT FURTI-IER liESOLVED, that the polls at said election
shall be open from the hour of7:00 O'Clock A.IVI. until 7:00
O'Clock P.M. on said election day.
BE IT F1JRTHER RESOLVED, that the following election officers
shall be appointed for said election and that they shall receive

as compensation the sum of :t:l 10000 each:
