RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELSDORE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
DECLARING 'l.':I:ii'It RESULT OF SPECIAL ELECTION.
WHEREAS, a special recall elec'tion was held and conduc'ted in the City of Elsinore,
on Friday, the 5th day of' June, 1931, as provided by Ordinance No. 209,
AND 1EEREAS,it appears that notice of said election was duly and legally given,
that voting precinct was properly established, that electioDi officers were appointed
and election supplies furnished, and that in all respects said election was held and
conducted and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof,
made,det'erminerland declared in time,f'orm and I!lanner as I!e~uired by the laws of the
State of California providing for and regulating special recall elections in cities of
the sixth class,
AND WHEREAS, the City Cbuncil of said City of Elsinore, met at the council chamber
thereof on Monday, the 8th day of June, 1931 did then and there canvass the returns of
said special election, and whereas the Council finds as a result of said canvass that
the number of votes cast, the propositions, and the names of the persons voted for, and
other matters required by law, to be as hereinafter stated, nOW therefore it is hereby
RESOLVED, determined and declared as follows:-
That said special recall election was held and conducted in the City of Elsinore
0,1'1 Friday, the 5th day of June, 1931, in time, form and manner as required by lfiw.
That there was One voting precinct established in said CitYt for the purpose of
holding said electiollt as follows:
OONSOLlDATED Precinct A, of Precints 1, and 2t of the City of Elsinore, established
for holding state and county elections;
That the whole number of votes east in said special recall election, of the City
of Elsinoret at said election was rive Hundred and Seven (507).
That the propositions voted on, and the names of the persons feted tor to succeed
John E.Mills and Herman O. Langstaff if recalled from the office of Cou11.cilmanby this
recall election, and the wbOle ~umber of votes received for and against said propositions
and the whole number of votes received by each of said persons voted for to s~cceed
Councilman John E.Mills, and Oouncilman Herman O.Langstaff if' recalled fromoUice by
said recall election, are as follows:.
PDPOSITION: Shall Job E.Mills be recalled from the office of Councilman of the
City of Elsinoret YES - 244 NG- 228
FOR GOUNCI1JlAN: To succeed JOHN E.M!LLS if reea1led from office by this recall election.

RESOLVED , therefore, that at said special recall election held in the City
of Elsinore,on the 5th day of June, 1931, that John E.Mills has been recalled from the
office of Councilman of the City of Elsinore, and that George H.Morton Jr has been
elected to succeed John E.Millst as Councilman tor the unexpired term of said John
E.Mills. And that Herman O.~gstarf has been recalled from the office of Councilman
of the City of Elsinore, and that O.B.Sheane has been elected to succeed Herman O.
Langstaff, as Councilman for the unexpired term of said Herman O.Langstaff.
