C. Fixtures shall not be installed until ceiling grid system has been leveled to assure level plane. 1. Poles: One piece 39 feet 0 inches round, tapered at 0.14 inches per foot, single, uniform
thickness; U.S. domestic steel having a guaranteed minimum yield strength of 55,000 psi after

2. Pole Base Plates: Shall be fabricated from a commercial quality, hot rolled carbon steel
I conforming to the requirements of ASTM A36 having a minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi.
The base plate shall telescope the poles shaft and be circumferentially welded top and bottom.
The base plate shall be slotted to accommodate a + variation in the nominal bolt circle.
3. Anchor Bolt: Supply 4 anchor bolts with each pole. Anchor bolts shall be 1 inch minimum
diameter hot rolled domestic steel bar complying with ASTM A36 (modified) and have minimum
strength of 55,000 and shall be 36 Inches long with additional 4 inch hook atguaranteedyieldpsi
90 degrees totally galvanized. Each anchor bolt shall be supplied with 2 galvanized hex nuts
per ASTM A307, 2 galvanized flat washers, one galvanized lock washer and one die cast nut
cover with a 1/4 inch stainless steel, hex head, sent tapping screw.
Fabricate formed4. Fixtures: from or extruded aluminum. Steel housings are not acceptable.
Assemble to form weatherproof and bug proof unit. Each fixture shall bear the UL label for
wet location. Fixture shall have an Architectural Class I anodized finish or an Owner approved
baked on polyester finish. Color shall be #DU313 dark bronze. Injected silicon used as a
weatherproofing seal shall not be directly exposed to sunlight and shall riot be the sole means
to pr ;vent water intrusion. Lens frame shall be mitered, extruded anodized aluminum with
stainless steel spring loaded latches and hinge pins. Tool -less access Is required to optic
chamber and ballast. Lens door frame shall be essentially watertight with a memory retentive
extruded silicon rubber gasket. Lens shall be heat tempered glass or polycarbonate material.
Fixture arm shall have an Internal extruded bolt channel guide. Bolts shall be hardened
domestic steel. The fixture arm shall have an integral hand hold and a cover for the field wiring
connections.
5. Fixture Optical Assembly: One universal fixture housing shall be capable of containing the
following general optical systems without modification and each optical system shall be field
Interchangeable and rotatable in 90 degree Increments without tho use of tools: 1a. Type 1: Optics that produce a longer narrower light pattern that concentrates light 1
distribution equally on both sides of Iuminaire.
b. Type III: Optics that produce an asymmetrical light pattern that directs 213 of the light in
front of the Iuminaire.
n Type V, Horizontal Lamp: Optics that produce a symmetrical square light pattern about
the luminalre.
d. Floodlight: Optics that will sharply confine any back light behind the pole. The patterns
shall be in the forward direction. ie. Type V, Vertical Lamp: Optics that produce a symmetrical square light pattern about the
Iuminaire with a maximum of 7% of the total output lumens above the 75 degree cutoff line.
Optics are based on square light distribution patterns with the other optical patterns used
to effectively cover odd shaped areas. Optical assemblies that produce a round light
distribution pattern are rat acceptable. All optics with the exception of Type V vertical
lamp shall have no more than 3% of total output lumens above the 75 degree cutoff line.
Wal -Mart shall be the sole judge regarding acceptability of optical system performance.

A. Furnish Hubbell Catalog No. 1281 MO momentary switch in flush switch box with Hubbell Cat. No.
1795 weatherproof cover at truck dock personnel door and Edwards Cat. No. 1065 -N5, 120 volt AC
buzzer in flush switch box with Slater Cat. No. S -771N louvered cover plate in Stockroom as
indicated on Drawings.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Verification of Conditions: Verify final layout of all cabling (telephone, register (IRC) and satellite dish
IFL) with Wal -Mart prior to beginning work of this Section. Reworking of cable, not approved by
Wal -Mart, will be accomplished at no additional cost to Wal -Mart.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A. Install telephone conduit system and telephone grounding conductor, as indicated on Drawings.
B . Install cash register, register data collection and satellite dish cabling as indicated on drawings.
C. Install signal system as indicated on drawings. Provide flush mounted, single gganngg masonry boxes
for mounting of push buttons and bells. Signal system wiring shall be No. 12AWG unless otherwise
indicated on drawings.

PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Install materials to manufacturer's recommendations and as indicated on Drawings.
B . Cable sets shall be located as Indicated on Mechanical and Energy Management Plans. All energy
management cable sets shall be Installed by the electrical Contractor. All cable sets shall be run from
designated termination points without splice, and shall run as indicated on Drawings. No deviations or
substitutions in materials or procedures will be accepted.
C. EMS installation shall be coordinated with the Energy Management Contractor. Electrical Sub-
contractor shall make arrangements with the Energy Management Contractor for installation dates,
testing dates, and completion dates. Electrical Subcontractor shali be responsible for any extra fees
imposed by the Energy Management Contractor for extra labor and expenses for negligence on the
part of the Electrical Subcontractor.
D. Secure permits, fees, deposits etc. for a demand meter pulse generator, as required in accordance
with Document 00800. Coordinate with Section 13810 and the local Utility. Furnish and install 1/2 inch
conduit with one Novar WIP2020 cable in a continuous length without splices or terminations between
the Utility Demand Meter and the Energy Management Electrical Interface Panel.
3.02 ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MILESTONE
A. Have related control and electrical wiring completed 21 days prior to Project acceptance by Wal -Mart.

1.01 SUMMARY
A. Section Includes:
1. Electrical conduit, fusible disconnects, fuses, power and control wiring, and electrical power
terminations for heating and cooling systems.
B. Related Work:
1. Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment Including ductwork and exhaust fans will be
furnished and installed by Mechanical Contractor.
2. Motor starters and control devices for each rooftop unit will be furnished and installed by
Mechanical Contractor. Mechanical control terminations will be by Mechanical Contractor.
3. Electronic Thermostat Modules will be furnished by the mechanical contractor. Thermostat
terminations will be made by the mechanical contractor.
4. Remote Temperature Sensors for the Electronic Thermostat Modules will be furnished by the
mechanical contractor. Terminations for the Remote Temperature Sensors will be made by the
mechanical contractor.
5. Duct Temperature Sensors for the Electronic Thermostat Modules will be factory mounted in
RTU.
