1.05 WARRANTY
3.01 INSTALLATION

2. Pole Base Plates: Shall be fabricated from a commercial quality, hot rolled carbon steel
conforming to he requirements of ASTM A36 having a minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi.
The base plate shall telescope the poles shaft and be circumferentially welded top and bottom. The base plate shall be slotted to accommodate a+ variation In the nominal bolt circle.
3. Anchor Boft: Supply 4 anchor bolts with each pole. Anchor bogs shall be 1 Inch minimum
diameter hot rolled domestic steel bar compI ''ng with ASTM A36 (modified and have minimum
guaranteed yield strength of 55,000 psi and shalt be 36 Inches long with additional 4 inch hook at
90 degrees totally galvanized. Each anchor bolt shall be supplied with 2 galvanized hex nuts
per ASTM A307, 2 galvanized flat washers, one galvanized lock washer and one die cast nut
cover with a 114 inch stainless steel, hex head, sell tapping screw. 4. Fixtures: Fabricate from formed or extruded Steel housingsaluminum. are not acceptable.
Assemble to form weatherproof and bug proof unit. Each fixture shall bear the UL label for
wet location. Fixture shall have an Architectural Class I anodized finish or an Owner approved
baked on polyester finish. Color shall be #DU313 dark bronze. Injected silicon used as a
weatherproofing seal shall not be directly exposed to sunlight and shall not be the sole means
to intrusion. Lenspreventwater frame shall be mitered, extruded anodized aluminum with
stainless steel spring loaded latches and hinge pins. Tool -less access is required to optic
chamber and ballast. Lens door frame shah be essentially watertight with a memory retentive
extruded silicon rubber gasket. Lens shall be heat tempered glass or polycarbonate material.
Fixture arm shall have an Internal extruded bolt channel guide. Botts shall be hardened
domestic steel. The fixture havearmshall an integral hand hold and a cover for the field wiringconnections.
5. Fixture Optical Assembly: One universal fixture housing shall be capable of containing thefollow' ng general optical systems without modification and each optics! system shall be field
1 interchangeable and rotatable in 90 degree increments without the use of tools:

to effectively cover odd shaped areas. Optical assemblies that produce a round ligrrt
distribution pattern are not acceptable. All optics with the exception of Type V vertical
lamp shall have no morn than 3% of total output lumens above the 75 degree cutoff line.
Wal-Mart shall be the sole judge regarding acceptabili4. of optical system performance.

3.03 TESTING
A. Testing: Make and record voltmeter measurements as described in Section 16011. In addition,
provide labor, material, and enemy to conduct a parking lot IIgM test at least 30 days prior to
Substantial Completion date. This test shall consist of continuous operation of fixtures and lamps for
a time period of 10 hours, at night. Contractor shall witness and cerfp the continuous operation and
time duration of the test. At the end of the testing period, Immediate y request we parts and
replace defective components at least three days prior to Substantial Completion date.

3.32 INSTALLATION
A. Conduit for rocftop unit,,,, shall be installed through curb. No roof penetral;ons for electrical conduits
are allowed without prior Wal -Mart approval. If roof penetration is approved, it shall be made in
accordance with other portions of these Specifications.
B , Electronic thermostats and remote override sensors will be located as shown on mechanical drawings
and Energy Management drawings. Furnish and install 1/2 inch conduit with cable set between each
item. Wiring exposed to moisture shall be run in seallite conduit.
C. Install control wiring for duct smoke detector operation H air duct smoke dete::tors are indicated on
Drawings or required by local codes. Verify requirements with Mechanical Contractor. Mechanical
Contractor will connect control wiring.
3.0., UNIT HEATERS
A. Make final electrical connections when unit heaters are installed under Section 15500.
R . Install disconnects for unit hcaters.
C. Install 1/2 inch conduit and install Novar Controls cable set for radiant heaters.

2.01 MATERIALS
A. Receptacles: Provide specified receptacles as indicated on Drawings.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Circuiting: Cash register, data collection, ONEAC and satellite dish equipment require 120V isolated
and dedicated circuits for continuous, uninterrupted 24 hour operation.
B. Circuit Breakers: One 20 amp breaker and circuit is required from panelboard for supplying power
to maximum of two DTS cash registers or two NCR cash registers per circuit. Circuits in panelboard
shall be clearly labeled for 24 tour operation, and also labeled to clearly indicate their terminating
location.
C. Grounding: There shall be an insulated, isolated, grounding conductor for each cash register circuit as
indicated on Drawings. This conductor shall be at least as large as the current carrying conductors to
act as common ground between each outlet on same circuit. This conductor must be a non - current
carrying ground, not a neutral common, and must not be connected anywhere or in any way to the
neutral nor to any conduit system before bonding with equipment grounding conductor, ground
electrode conductor, transformer neutral, and transformer case ground at the cash register transformer
secondary.
1. Note: Proper grounding and use of the above criteria is critical to the performance of this
equipment. If Is mandatory that only cash register equipment be connected to these circuits.
Connection to and use of other type of equipment will adversely affect cash register system and
will not be permitted.

1.02 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING
A. Conduit cable and power to satellite dish shall be installed 7 days prior to possession date set by
Wal -Mart Construction Manager, or the Gener2! Contractor will be responsible for paying any
bypass" charges, incurred by the Wal -Mart satellite installer.
B . Telephone plywood vaunting panel, #6 telephone system ground conductor, and telephone conduit
system shall be completed 35 days prior to date of Substantial Completion.
PART2 PRODUCTS
2.01 CASH REGISTER AND REGISTER DATA COLLECTION EQUIPMENT
A. Equipment: Tc, be furnished and installed by others.
B. Cabling: Cash register and register data collection equipment data (IRC) cable will be furnished by
others. Install cable as indicated on drawings. Final terminations to equipment will be by others.

2.02 SATELLITE DISH EQUIPMENT
A. Equipmert: To be furnished and installed by others.
B. Cabling: Satellite Dish Communication (IFL) Cable will be furnished by others. Install cable as
indicated on drawings. Final terminations to equipment will be by others.
C. Raceway System: Provide raceways for satellite dish communication cable as indicated on drawings.
2.03 TELEPHONE SYSTEM
A. Plywood Mounting Panel: Included in EDC Unit per Section 16400.
B . Telephone System Grounding Conductors: No. 6 AWG, copper grounding conductor from
telephone service equipment to electrical service grounding electrode system or dry type transformer
grounding electrode system.
C. Telephone Conduit System: Furnish as indicated on Drawings, including:
1. Telephone service conduit.
2. Other conduits as indicated on Drawings. Furnish #14 AWG soft iron pull wire or heavy nylon
cord in each conduit for pu!linngg the telephone cable to each termination point.
3. Outlet boxes, which shall oontorm to requirements of "Outlet Boxes and Conduit Fitting" of
these Specifications, shall include necessary cover plates.

PART GENERAL
1.01 SUMMARY
A. Section Includes:
1. Energy Management System control wiring, and conduit system installation.
2. All 120V and above Energy Management System conduit, wiring, and terminations.
3. Pay charges demand pulse generator.
4. Coordinate with local utility.
B. Related Work:
1. Electrical Subcontractor shall make all line voltage terminations.
2. Indoor, outdoor, enthalpy, and analog sensors (humidity, pressure, light, etc.) shall be installed
and terminated by the Energy Management Contractor.
3. Energy Management shall be responsible for all EMS communication terminations.
1.02 WARRANTY
A. lifter acceptance by Owner, Energy Management Contractor shall provide material and labor warranty
for EMS components (excluding cable sets), supplied under this Section.

PART EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Install materials to manufacturers recommendations and as indicated on Drawings.
B. Cable sets shall be located as Indicated on Mechanical and Energy Management Plans. All energy
management cable sets shall be installed by the electrical Contractor. All cable sets shall be run from
designated termination points without splice, and shall run as indicated on Drawings. No deviations or
substitutions in materials or procedures will be accepted.
C. EMS installation shall be coordinated with the Energy Management Contractor. Electrical Sub-
contractor shall make arrangements with the Energy Management Contractor for installation dates,
testing dates, and completion dates. Electrical Subcontractor shall be responsib , for any extra feesimposedbytheEnergyManagementContractorforextralaborandexpensesf • negligence on the
part of the Electrical Subcontractor.
D. Secure permits, fees, deposits etc. for a demand meter pulse generator, as required in accordance
with Document 00800. Coordinate with Section 13810 and the local Utility. Furnish and install 1/2 inch
conduit with one Novar WIR2020 cable in a continuous length without splices or terminations between
the Utility Demand Meter and the Energy Management Electrical Interface Panel.
3.02 ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MILESTONE
A. Have related control and electrical wiring completed 21 days prior to Project acceptance by Wal -Mart.

PART GENERAL
1.01 SUMMARY
A. Section Includes:
1. Electrical conduit, fusible disconnects, fuses, power and control wiring, and electrical power
terminations for heating and cooling systems.
B. Related Work:
1. Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment including ductwork and exhaust fans will be
furnished and installed by Mechanical Contractor.
2. Motor starters and control devices for each rooftop unit will be furnished and installed by
Mechanical Contractor. Mechanical control terminations will be by Mechanical Contractor.
3. Electronic Thermostat Modules will be furnished by the mechanical contractor. Thermostat
terminations will be made by the mechanical contractor.
4. Remote Temperature Sensors for the Electronic Thermostat Modules will be furnished by the
mechanical contractor. Terminations for the Remote Temperature Sensors will be made by the
mechanical contractor.
5. Duct Temperature Sensors for the Electronic Thermostat Modules will be factory mounted in
RTU.

units, Electrical Contractor shall furnish control wiring for duct snake detector operation. If local
governing code permits, connect power to nearest general purpose receptacle. If smoke detectors
are required in the roof top units, they will be Owner furnished, factory mounted and wired in the roof
top unit.
D. Furnish disconnects for radiant heaters.
E. Furnish disconnects for exhaust fans.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 MECHANICAL SYSTEM MILESTONE
A. Have related control and electrical wiring completed and checked out 21 days prior to Substantial
Completion date.

indicated on Drawings.

3.01 EXAMINATION
A. Verification of Conditions: Verify final layout of all cabling (telephone, register (IRC) and satellite dish

PART EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Install materials to manufacturers recommendations and as indicated on Drawings.
B. Cable sets shall be located as Indicated on Mechanical and Energy Management Plans. All energy
management cable sets shall be installed by the electrical Contractor. All cable sets shall be run from
designated termination points without splice, and shall run as indicated on Drawings. No deviations or
substitutions in materials or procedures will be accepted.
C. EMS installation shall be coordinated with the Energy Management Contractor. Electrical Sub-
contractor shall make arrangements with the Energy Management Contractor for installation dates,
testing dates, and completion dates. Electrical Subcontractor shall be responsib , for any extra feesimposedbytheEnergyManagementContractorforextralaborandexpensesf • negligence on the
part of the Electrical Subcontractor.
D. Secure permits, fees, deposits etc. for a demand meter pulse generator, as required in accordance
with Document 00800. Coordinate with Section 13810 and the local Utility. Furnish and install 1/2 inch
conduit with one Novar WIR2020 cable in a continuous length without splices or terminations between
the Utility Demand Meter and the Energy Management Electrical Interface Panel.
3.02 ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM MILESTONE
A. Have related control and electrical wiring completed 21 days prior to Project acceptance by Wal -Mart.

PART GENERAL
1.01 SUMMARY
A. Section Includes:
1. Electrical conduit, fusible disconnects, fuses, power and control wiring, and electrical power
terminations for heating and cooling systems.
B. Related Work:
1. Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment including ductwork and exhaust fans will be
furnished and installed by Mechanical Contractor.
2. Motor starters and control devices for each rooftop unit will be furnished and installed by
Mechanical Contractor. Mechanical control terminations will be by Mechanical Contractor.
3. Electronic Thermostat Modules will be furnished by the mechanical contractor. Thermostat
terminations will be made by the mechanical contractor.
4. Remote Temperature Sensors for the Electronic Thermostat Modules will be furnished by the
mechanical contractor. Terminations for the Remote Temperature Sensors will be made by the
mechanical contractor.
5. Duct Temperature Sensors for the Electronic Thermostat Modules will be factory mounted in
RTU.

2.01 MATERIALS
A. Only controls manufactured by Novar Controls will be accepted.

B. Furnish electrical interface items shown on Contract Drawings. Sizes shown are nominal. Coordinate
requirements with Mechanical Contractor and furnish and Install electrical items with proper rating to
match requirements of equipment supplied.
C. If air duct smoke detectors are Indicated on Drawings or required by local code except in roof top
units, Electrical Contractor shall furnish control wiring for duct snake detector operation. If local
governing code permits, connect power to nearest general purpose receptacle. If smoke detectors
are required in the roof top units, they will be Owner furnished, factory mounted and wired in the roof
top unit.
D. Furnish disconnects for radiant heaters.
E. Furnish disconnects for exhaust fans.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 MECHANICAL SYSTEM MILESTONE
A. Have related control and electrical wiring completed and checked out 21 days prior to Substantial
Completion date.
