PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 PREPARATION
A. Take site dimensions affecting this work Verify correct spacing of plumbing fixtures.
B. Verify correct location or built-in framing, anchorage, and bracing, where required.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A. Install partitions secure, rigid, plumb, level, and square In accordance with manufacturers instructions.
B. Maintain 1/2 inch space between wall and panels, and between wall and pilasters. Attach panel
brackets securely to walls using anchor devices.
C. Attach panels and pilasters to bracket with through sleeve tamperproof bolts and nuts. Locate head
rail joints at pilaster center lines.
D. Anchor urinal screen panels to walls as recommended by manufacturer to suit supporting wall
construction.
E. Provide for adjustment of floor variations with screw jack through steel saddles integral with pilaster.
Conceal floor fastenings with stainless steel shoes.
F. Equip each door with h! ages, one door latch, and one coat took and bumper. Adjust and align
hardware to uniform clearance at vertical edges of doors not exceeding 3/16 Inch.
G. Adjust hinges to locate doors in partial open position when unlatched, except that out -swing doors
shall return to closed position.
3.03 ADJUSTING
A. Adjust and align hardware to uniform clearance at vertical edge of doors, not exceeding 3/16 inch.

PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 PREPARATION
A. Notify Wal -Mart minimum of 30 days before vehicle service equipment is Installed.
3.02 INSTALLATION
A. Install materials in accordance with manufacturers detailed instructions. Comply with applicable code
requirements for installation and operation of vehicle service equipment.
B. Run air lines overhead unless noted otherwise.
C. Pit Covers: Install on top angles welded to tube surrounding pit opening. Rollaway drain to be
installed on bottom angles. Provide complete coverage from end to end of pit opening with pit
covers.
D. Install hose reels at the bottom of roof joist.
E. Air Compressor:
1. Permanently mount compressor, with isolators, on 4x4 pressure treated wooden skids. Skids
shall be leveled as required and secured to slab with suitable fasteners.
2. Extend compressor muffler through adjacent exterior wall. Furnish required sleeve to other
trades for installation.
a. Coordinate installation of sleeve at elevation required. minimum 12 feet above finish floor.
b. Provide high temperature, permanent sealant within wall construction around penetration.
a Provide escutcheons on both interior and exterior sides of wall.
3.03 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
A. Upon completion of installation, conduct tests to ensure proper installation and proper operation of
automotive equipment.
B. Test according to manufacturers Instructions and recommendations. Test IN operation and vertical
travel to comply with indicated requirements.
3.04 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING
A. Make necessary adjustments for pproper operation of leveler. After installation, restore marred and
abraded surfaces to original cundition.

B. Regulatory Requirements: Comply with latest edit!-: n of National Electrical Code and interim
Amendments in effect at time of bidding, and all local and state laws. Should Drawings,
Specifications, or manufactured products contradict local ruling, local ruling takes precedence. Correct
violations cited by enforcing authority at no additional cost.
1.04 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING
A. Plan work of this Section so that it proceeds with minimum of interference between trades.
B . Coordinate in writing the installation procedures and termination information for all items furnished by
or installed by both the Electrical and Mechanical Subcontractors.
C. Coordinate contract interface work and execution of this Section with work of other trades and
Wal -Mart Support to provide for system operation, testing, and checkout 7 days prior to Substantial
Completion date.
D. Notify local electric utility in sufficient time to coordinate connection of demand pulse circuit. Verify with
utility the KWH per pulse for demand shed scheme. r1rquest from utility written confirmation of the
demand pwse ratio and provide this information to N'el -Mart Support at time of system test. Systc.ti
will not receive final parameters until utility letter is in Via!-Mart Support possession.
E. Coordinate with Wal -Mart Support dates for telephune system test. System will nut receive final
parameters until telephone system test is compk.ied and any deficiencies have been corrected.
F. Coordinate with Wal -Mart telephone company for installation of telephone service. System will not
be considered complete until final parameters have been downloaded and remote communications
have been estaulished.
G. Completion: Installation of Energy Mgt. system must be complete 7 days prior to store possessior
date.
1.05 WARRANTY
A. Provide warranty labor at no c',arge for a period of 90 days from Grand Opening Date.
B . Warrant all Energy Management Equipment whether supplied in this Section or not for a period of
one year from Grand Opening date.
C. Respond to correct warranty problems within 24 hours of notification or Wal -Mart Support will assign
next closest contractor and will charge to Energy Management Contractor.
PART PRODUCTS
2.0' MANUFACTURERS
A. Manufacturer: Novar Controls Corporation.
1. All energy management system components will be manufactured by Novar Controls
Corporation through Wal -Mart Support Service, and furnished by Contractor. Refer to oections
15500,16920, and 16925.

forms required for final payment. These items should be requested as soon as practical after
Contract award.

MECHANICAL GENERAL PROVISIONS
PART GENERAL
1.01 SUMMARY
A. Section Includes:
1. This Division of Specifications covers plumbing, fire protection, exhaust, temperature control,
heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
2. Project record documents:
a. For above grade, show on blue line prints in red ink, changes from original Drawings made
during installation of Work.
b. For below grade piping, show exact location of piping installed below grade. Make
drawings on sheets of same size as Construction Documents, in pencil on tracing paper,
legibly drawn and lettered.
C. File with Wal -Mart when Work is complete.
3. Coordinate mechanical work wnh that of other trades on Project to prevent unnecessary conflicts
or delays during construction.
4. Provide an approved, experienced foreman at Project at all times that mechanical work is being
done.
5. Label Rooftop Units with 6 inch black permanent paint stencil on RTU. Number units as shown
on Drawings. Locate labels for each unit near its disconnect.
6. Where Drawings indicate equipment to be furnished by others, Wal -Mart or other Sections of
the Specifications provide mechanical rough -in for units pursuant to shop drawings and make final
connections, providing shut off valves, traps, and other facilities for a complete installation.
7 Comply with other Division 15 Sections as applicable. Refer to other Divisions for coordination
between trades.
8. Drawings are schematic layouts only, do not scale drawings.
B. Related Sections:
1. Coordinate construction trades so that HVAC system is fully installed including penetrations,
electrical connections, and controls 21 days prior to Project acceptance by Wal -Mart.
2. Block out for concrete penetrations, cut openings in roof, roof deck, and walls, and provide and
install angles and stiffeners as required.

4. Flashings and penetration pans for rooftop equipment and pipes penetrating the roof.
