Re:California Public Records Act Request—Abandoned Residential Property Registrations Filed Under Ordinance No. 1252(LEMC Chapter 8.60)
To the Public Records Custodian:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act(Government Code Section 7920.000 et seq.), I am requesting copies of,or access to inspect,the
following public records:
All currently active(open)abandoned/vacant residential property registrations filed with the City of Lake Elsinore Code Enforcement Division
pursuant to Ordinance No. 1252,codified at Lake Elsinore Municipal Code Chapter 8.60(Abandoned Residential Property Registration),for
properties located within City limits.
To the extent maintained in these records and not otherwise exempt from disclosure, I am requesting the following data points for each registered
property:
Property address and/or Assessor's Parcel Number(APN)
Date the registration was filed
Name and contact information of the registering beneficiary/trustee,or the local property management company responsible for the property if the
beneficiary/trustee is a corporation or out-of-area entity
-Current status of the registration(open or closed)and whether annual renewal has been maintained per LEMC 8.60.040(F)
If it would be more efficient for your office to produce this information in an existing electronic format(spreadsheet,database export,or similar)rather
than individual document copies, I would welcome that format.
Per Government Code Section 7922.535(a),I understand your office will determine within 10 days whether this request seeks disclosable public
records and will notify me accordingly.If any portion of this request is denied,please cite the specific statutory exemption(s)relied upon.
Please let me know if any fees apply to production,or if you need clarification on the scope of this request.
