Are you currently serving or have you served on a City of Lake Elsinore Board, Commission, or Committee?* If yes, which ones, and what dates did you serve? City of Lake Elsinore Planning Commission 2015-Current What skills or attributes can you bring to the City?* I bring a strong combination of public service experience, business development expertise, and practical leadership that I believe would be valuable to the City. My 10 years of service on the Planning Commission have given me firsthand knowledge of Lake Elsinore’s growth, challenges, and opportunities, and taught me the importance of balancing development with preserving the character of our community. In addition to this role, I serve as President of my Homeowners Association and as a Board Member of the California Land Conservancy, and I previously served on the Board of the Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation. These leadership positions have strengthened my ability to listen to diverse perspectives, build consensus, and make decisions that reflect the best interests of the community. I also stay actively engaged through youth sports, coaching my son’s baseball team and my daughter ’s softball team — an experience that allows me to give back and stay connected with local families. Professionally, I work as a District Sales Manager in business development, where I focus on fostering economic growth, building strategic partnerships, and managing teams to deliver results. Having owned my business, I also understand the challenges small businesses face and the importance of creating an environment where they can succeed. Most importantly, I approach every responsibility with integrity, collaboration, and a long-term perspective. I greatly respect the progress the current Council has made in strengthening our economy, infrastructure, and quality of life, and I am committed to building on that momentum. My goal is to ensure Lake Elsinore remains a place where businesses can thrive, families can grow, and residents can feel proud to call home. Briefly describe your current or last occupation.* I currently serve as a District Sales Manager for a Fortune 100 company in the steel industry. In this role, I manage sales operations, build strategic partnerships, and lead teams to achieve growth across the region. It requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to balance the needs of both the company and our customers. Describe your involvement in community activities, volunteer and civic organizations.* I have been actively involved in our community through both civic service and volunteer activities. For the past 10 years, I have served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Lake Elsinore, helping guide decisions on growth and development. I also serve as President of my Homeowners Association, on the Board of the California Land Conservancy, and previously served on the Board of the Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation. In addition, I stay involved in community life by supporting local charities through golf tournaments, fundraisers, and events. I also volunteer as an assistant coach for my son’s baseball team and my daughter’s softball team, which allows me to give back, support our youth, and stay connected with local families. Yes How would you work with other Council Members to resolve disagreements and achieve consensus?* I believe the best way to resolve disagreements is through respect, active listening, and a focus on common goals. One of the strengths of our current Council is how well its members work together, and that has not gone unnoticed in the community. I value that collaborative spirit and plan to carry it forward, always keeping a “community first” perspective at the heart of every decision. When disagreements arise, I would approach discussions with an open mind, seeking to understand all perspectives before reaching a conclusion. Building consensus requires not only working effectively with fellow Council Members, but also engaging city staff, community partners, and residents in the process. By fostering collaborative relationships across all levels, we can ensure that decisions are thoughtful, inclusive, and in the best long-term interest of Lake Elsinore. Even when differences remain, I would remain professional, constructive, and committed to moving forward together. My focus will always be on strengthening partnerships, respecting diverse viewpoints, and working toward solutions that benefit our entire community. What, in your understanding, is a conflict of interest, and as a City Council Member, how would you respond if you have a conflict of interest on an issue that comes before the City Council?* A conflict of interest exists when a Council Member ’s personal, financial, or professional interests could improperly influence — or appear to influence — their decision-making on City matters. If I were to face a conflict of interest, I would immediately disclose it, remain transparent with the Council and the public, and recuse myself from any discussion or vote on that matter. Just as important, I believe there should be no conflicts with City staff or our community partners. Maintaining open, honest, and collaborative relationships ensures that trust remains at the center of everything we do. As a Council Member, I would always put the community’s interests first, and I would hold myself accountable to the highest standards of fairness and integrity. The City has a Code of Ethics and Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials, as well as attendance requirements that all elected and appointed members are required to follow. Do you have concerns in either of these areas? If so, please describe.* I have no concerns with the City’s Code of Ethics and Conduct or the attendance requirements. I believe both are essential for ensuring accountability, transparency, and public trust. In my years of service on the Planning Commission, as President of my HOA, and through my work with other organizations, I have consistently demonstrated a commitment to showing up, staying engaged, and holding myself to high ethical standards. I also believe that ethics and accountability extend beyond the Council dais. It is equally important to maintain professional, collaborative, and conflict-free relationships with City staff and our community partners. By respecting these standards, Council Members can work more effectively together, continue the positive progress that the current Council has achieved, and keep the community’s interests at the forefront of every decision. As a candidate for the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore, I submit the following statement on why I am interested in serving as a City Council Member.* I am seeking the opportunity to serve on the Lake Elsinore City Council because I care deeply about the future of our community and believe my experience has prepared me to contribute in a meaningful way. For the past 10 years, I have served as a Planning Commissioner, helping guide responsible growth while protecting the character of our City. I also serve as President of my Homeowners Association, on the Board of the California Land Conservancy, and have previously served on the Board of the Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation. These roles have given me valuable experience in leadership, consensus building, and community-focused decision-making. Professionally, I am a District Sales Manager for a Fortune 100 company in the rebar industry. In this role, I lead teams, manage operations, and build strategic partnerships. Having also owned and operated my own business in the past, I understand the challenges small businesses face and the importance of creating a supportive environment where they can thrive. Equally important to me is direct involvement in our community. I stay engaged by supporting local charities, participating in community events, and volunteering as an assistant coach for my son’s baseball team and my daughter ’s softball team. These experiences keep me grounded in what matters most — the families, businesses, and residents who make Lake Elsinore such a special place to call home. I respect the progress that the current City Council has made in strengthening our economy, infrastructure, and quality of life, and I want to continue building on that momentum. If elected, I will bring a collaborative spirit, integrity, and a community-first perspective to every decision, ensuring Lake Elsinore remains a place where businesses prosper, families flourish, and residents are proud of their city. Are you currently serving or have you served on a City of Lake Elsinore Board, Commission, or Committee?* If yes, which ones, and what dates did you serve? Public Safety Advisory Committee (2007-2011) What skills or attributes can you bring to the City?* I bring more than 20 years of professional experience in local government in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, including 10 years in City government. This makes me uniquely qualified to easily transition into this short-term seat with little to no training for this role. Additionally, I am a visionary, collaborative leader with strong communication and public speaking skills who is passionate about local government and the City of Lake Elsinore. I have established relationships with stakeholders throughout Riverside County and within the City of Lake Elsinore. Other skills including strategic planning, local government policy and program development, grant and legislative advocacy, and local government budgeting. Briefly describe your current or last occupation.* Currently, I own a boutique government consulting firm specializing in strategic communication, public relations, and public affairs, serving cities, special districts, and private sector clients. Previously, I served as City Manager for the City of Canyon Lake and Deputy City Manager for the City of Lake Elsinore, where I worked in the City Manager's Office with the City Council for nine years. Describe your involvement in community activities, volunteer and civic organizations.* I have been an active member of the Lake Elsinore community for nearly 20 years, participating in a wide range of non- profit organizations, volunteer positions, and city events and activities. Examples include serving as a board member and a current member of the Lake Elsinore Women's Club, Chair of the Downtown Merchants Association for many years, and on the RTA Southwest T-Now. Equally important is that I am a proud graduate of the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. Most recently, I served on the citizen committee for the Yes on Measure T campaign in November, and I am currently serving as Chair of the Citizens' Oversight Committee for Measures T and V. How would you work with other Council Members to resolve disagreements and achieve consensus?* I am recognized as a collaborative leader. Having worked in City government for the last 10 years, I have seen firsthand the importance of civility, respect, and consensus among an elected body. I would start by actively listening and considering all points of view before sharing my perspective, in a respectful manner. City Councils are powerful in that they bring together individuals with different backgrounds for thoughtful discussions, allowing them to arrive at the best solution for the City overall. As the newest member for a short time, I believe it will be critically important not to come in with any particular opinions and to work closely with city staff and the City Council to best carry forward policy and strategic decisions that impact the entire community, not just a single district. This means taking a more proactive role, when needed, but mostly following the lead of the existing council members and respecting their long-standing experience with the City. Yes What, in your understanding, is a conflict of interest, and as a City Council Member, how would you respond if you have a conflict of interest on an issue that comes before the City Council?* A conflict interest is when someone will gain financially or in other ways based on a vote, decision, or action of the City Council. For example, if I voted favorably for a project that may in some way be connected to my consulting business in which I am earning compensation for a favorable result or initiating a park project just down the street from my house. Initially, I would intend in working closely with the City Attorney to identify any existing conflicts of interest upon securing the seat and moving forward I would consult with the City Attorney any time I may feel their could be a conflict of interest related to my business or home or nearby planned improvement. If so, I would disclose the conflict of interest publicly and rightfully recuse myself from any discussions or votes related to the potential conflict. The City has a Code of Ethics and Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials, as well as attendance requirements that all elected and appointed members are required to follow. Do you have concerns in either of these areas? If so, please describe.* None. I am prepared to adhere to all requirements related to this position. As a candidate for the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore, I submit the following statement on why I am interested in serving as a City Council Member.* Mayor Tisdale and Members of the City Council, I respectfully request your consideration for appointment to the vacant seat serving District 4. I have grown up in the City of Lake Elsinore and have been a resident here for the last 36 years, this includes living in District 4 for all of these years. In addition, I have extensive experience working for the City of Lake Elsinore once as a Public Safety Advisory Commissioner and, most recently, on staff. In these roles, I have demonstrated my passion and commitment to make Lake Elsinore a world-class city and to be a part of fulfilling the City Council's vision to become the ultimate lake destination where all can live, work, and play, build futures and fulfill dreams. I believe in this vision and it would be an honor to serve alongside each of you to do so. As a working mom, raising four children in the City and with many family and friends in the City and District 4, I seek to get back to the basics with an emphasis on increasing awareness about the City, addressing blight and infrastructure needs throughout the City, continuing your progress on the lake's water quality, and seeking new and innovative ways to instill community pride and connection amongst our residents, staff, regional partners, and the Council. I will strive to always put the community first. I am prepared to serve professionally and faithfully as your partner in supporting staff and reaching the City's ultimate potential while also reminding our community why we are the City that DREAMS EXTREME. It would be an honor to be considered and I look forward to the opportunity to share more. Planning Commission What skills or attributes can you bring to the City?* I bring a results oriented leadership style built on accountability, collaboration, and strategic decision making. As the owner of multiple local businesses, I manage budgets, contracts, and personnel while navigating regulations and delivering consistent value to clients. These skills translate directly to city governance, where fiscal responsibility and clear communication are critical. My experience balancing community expectations with operational realities has prepared me to make practical, informed decisions that respect both residents and resources. I am also skilled in building partnerships that turn goals into outcomes, a quality essential for advancing projects and strengthening public trust. My commitment to transparency, followthrough, and long term vision reflects exactly what residents deserve from their local government. Ultimately, I am deeply invested in Lake Elsinore’s success. My personal, professional, and civic commitments are all centered here, and I am dedicated to advancing policies that allow our community to grow responsibly and prosperously. Briefly describe your current or last occupation.* I am the owner and broker of Hit Home Realty and the founder of Hit Print, both based in Lake Elsinore. In these roles, I lead diverse teams, oversee operational budgets, manage compliance with state and local regulations, and coordinate complex projects that require precision and accountability. These responsibilities mirror the discipline needed for public service, where collaboration, policy understanding, and financial stewardship guide every action. Describe your involvement in community activities, volunteer and civic organizations.* Serving as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Lake Elsinore has strengthened my understanding of local governance, development policy, and public process. I have participated in reviewing land use projects, ensuring that growth aligns with the city’s vision and benefits residents both economically and environmentally. Beyond this, I have led and sponsored community events such as the Riverside County Carnival, Bubble and Bouncer Bash, and Ultimate Nerf Gun Battle, and more; each created to strengthen civic engagement and showcase the best of Lake Elsinore. Through ongoing partnerships with local nonprofits like the Dream Center, I have helped provide school supplies to hundreds of children annually. My volunteerism is driven by a belief that civic progress begins with participation and that leadership means being present, accessible, and invested in every layer of the community. How would you work with other Council Members to resolve disagreements and achieve consensus?* Successful governance depends on disciplined collaboration. I believe that even the most challenging discussions can produce productive outcomes when approached with respect, preparation, and focus on the city’s shared goals. My leadership style prioritizes active listening and fact-based reasoning. In business, I routinely mediate between competing interests to find equitable solutions that maintain relationships and achieve measurable progress. I would bring that same approach to the council, seeking to understand before advocating and always placing the public’s interest above personal preference. When disagreements arise, I focus on data, policy alignment, and the broader community impact to guide decisions. My goal would always be unity through integrity and transparency. Yes What, in your understanding, is a conflict of interest, and as a City Council Member, how would you respond if you have a conflict of interest on an issue that comes before the City Council?* A conflict of interest exists when an elected official’s personal or financial interests could reasonably be perceived as influencing their public decisions. I view integrity as the foundation of effective leadership. If a potential conflict were to arise, I would immediately disclose the matter to the City Attorney, provide full transparency to the public, and recuse myself from the discussion and vote. As both a business owner and public servant, I understand the importance of maintaining clear ethical boundaries. The residents of Lake Elsinore deserve complete confidence that every council action is guided solely by what benefits the city. I would hold myself to the highest standard of honesty and accountability to preserve that trust. The City has a Code of Ethics and Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials, as well as attendance requirements that all elected and appointed members are required to follow. Do you have concerns in either of these areas? If so, please describe.* I have no concerns regarding the City’s Code of Ethics and Conduct or its attendance requirements. I view these expectations as essential to maintaining public trust and ensuring the consistent, transparent operation of government. I have always conducted both my professional and civic responsibilities with integrity, accountability, and respect for procedure. I understand the importance of consistent attendance and active participation, and I am fully committed to meeting and exceeding those standards. As a candidate for the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore, I submit the following statement on why I am interested in serving as a City Council Member.* Lake Elsinore is not just where I live; it is where I have invested my time, energy, and purpose for more than a decade. I have built businesses here, raised my family here, and dedicated myself to strengthening this community through service, events, and partnerships that unite residents and create pride in our city. Serving as a Planning Commissioner has given me a clear understanding of how policy decisions shape neighborhoods, influence local business, and guide the city’s long-term vision. I want to serve on the City Council to ensure that growth is responsible, communication is transparent, and decisions are made with the best interests of residents in mind. I bring a leadership style rooted in accountability, collaboration, and action. I understand how to balance budgets, evaluate complex issues, and make choices that create lasting value. Measure Z What skills or attributes can you bring to the City?* As a committed civic leader with a strong background in community engagement, business development, and public service, I would bring a well-rounded and results-driven perspective to the City Council of Lake Elsinore. In my current role as a Member Engagement Specialist at the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with local and state elected officials, strengthening relationships that bridge the gap between government and the business community. This role has equipped me with the skills to advocate for small businesses, support economic development, and implement strategic initiatives that foster local growth. Additionally, my previous experience working for the City of Murrieta in the Community Services Department gave me a strong understanding of municipal operations, the application of municipal code, and the vital role local government plays in creating inclusive, well-served communities. I have hands-on experience coordinating impactful events, supporting business owners, and building public-private partnerships that align with city development goals. My service as a Commissioner on the Measure Z Citizens Committee further demonstrates my commitment to fiscal responsibility, transparency, and government accountability. With a Master ’s degree in Business Administration and a deep-rooted passion for serving the community I call home, I am ready to bring collaborative leadership, thoughtful decision-making, and a strong sense of civic duty to the Lake Elsinore City Council. Briefly describe your current or last occupation.* In my current role as a Member Engagement Specialist at the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, I focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses, helping them access resources, understand their benefits, and stay connected to the community. I support member retention and recruitment efforts, coordinate outreach strategies, and work closely with the Chamber team to enhance engagement through events, programs, and advocacy. My role also involves collaborating with local and state elected officials to ensure our business community stays informed and represented. Additionally, the Chamber plays a critical role in advocating for small businesses by monitoring legislation, voicing concerns to policymakers, and partnering with other chambers and business coalitions to influence public policy that supports economic growth and reduces barriers for local entrepreneurs. No Yes Describe your involvement in community activities, volunteer and civic organizations.* I have remained actively involved in a variety of community activities, civic initiatives, and volunteer efforts that reflect my strong commitment to public service and improving the quality of life for residents in the region. Currently, I serve as a Commissioner on the Measure Z Citizens Committee for the City of Lake Elsinore. In this role, I assist in reviewing and reporting on the City's expenditures related to Measure Z funds. This experience has deepened my understanding of municipal finance and strengthened my commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective local governance. Through my work at the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, I have collaborated with local nonprofits, business leaders, and community organizations to support small business development and organize community events. These efforts have allowed me to build strong partnerships that enhance civic engagement, economic opportunity, and regional collaboration. In addition, I volunteered for the Riverside County Point-in-Time Count, a county-wide effort to identify and document individuals experiencing homelessness. Participating in this important initiative gave me firsthand insight into the housing and social service needs within our community and reinforced my dedication to supporting vulnerable populations through advocacy and informed policymaking. My commitment to service began early in life. As a youth, I was a member of a service-oriented organization affiliated with the Freemasons, which instilled in me the values of civic responsibility, leadership, and a deep love for this country. That early foundation continues to shape my approach to community involvement and public service today. Together, these roles have allowed me to remain deeply connected to the needs, challenges, and aspirations of our residents. They also reflect my ongoing dedication to fostering a stronger, more inclusive, and forward-thinking community. How would you work with other Council Members to resolve disagreements and achieve consensus?* I believe that effective governance relies on respectful collaboration, open communication, and a shared commitment to serving the best interests of the community. When disagreements arise, I would approach them with a mindset focused on listening first, understanding the perspectives of my fellow Council Members, and identifying the underlying values or concerns driving those differences. My background in chamber leadership, civic service, and community development has taught me the importance of building relationships based on mutual respect, even when opinions differ. I would work to create an environment where healthy debate is encouraged, and where decisions are made based on facts, community input, and long-term impacts, not personal agendas. To achieve consensus, I would focus on common goals, seek areas of alignment, and propose solutions that consider diverse viewpoints while staying rooted in what benefits Lake Elsinore as a whole. I believe in diplomacy, transparency, and the value of compromise when it moves the city forward without compromising core principles. Ultimately, I see the role of a Council Member as a collaborator and bridge-builder, and I would bring a calm, professional, and solutions-oriented approach to every discussion. What, in your understanding, is a conflict of interest, and as a City Council Member, how would you respond if you have a conflict of interest on an issue that comes before the City Council?* A conflict of interest occurs when a City Council Member has a personal, financial, or other private interest that could improperly influence, or appear to influence, their official duties and decision-making. This could involve direct financial gain, relationships with parties involved, or any situation where impartiality might be compromised. As a City Council Member, I understand the importance of maintaining public trust by acting ethically and transparently. If I encountered a conflict of interest on an issue before the Council, I would promptly disclose the nature of the conflict publicly on the record, recuse myself from the discussion and any related votes, and comply fully with all applicable laws, regulations, and city policies. The City has a Code of Ethics and Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials, as well as attendance requirements that all elected and appointed members are required to follow. Do you have concerns in either of these areas? If so, please describe.* I have no concerns regarding the City’s Code of Ethics and Conduct or the attendance requirements for elected and appointed officials. I believe these standards are essential for maintaining public trust and ensuring effective governance. Additionally, I understand the importance of regular attendance and active participation in meetings. I take these responsibilities seriously and am fully committed to fulfilling all expectations should I be selected to serve. Upholding both the ethical and procedural standards of the City aligns closely with my values and approach to public service. As a candidate for the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore, I submit the following statement on why I am interested in serving as a City Council Member.* Having grown up with my family living in Lake Elsinore for most of my life, I have a deep personal connection to this community and a heartfelt commitment to its future. My professional experience working closely with local businesses, elected officials, and community organizations has given me a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges our city faces. I am passionate about leveraging my skills in community engagement, economic development, and public service to help shape policies that promote sustainable growth, enhance quality of life, and ensure that Lake Elsinore remains a welcoming and thriving place for all residents. Serving on the City Council would allow me to give back to the community that has given so much to me and my family, and to work collaboratively with fellow leaders to build a stronger, more vibrant Lake Elsinore for generations to come.
