Hi Jovanny,
I have attached the Workers compensation for the California Department of Industrial Relations, Division of
Workers Compensation. While we (Riverside County Carnival) have no employees, they are employees of the state
of California (DOR) while working the event and it’s through their staffing company, Options For All that is the
employer of record . I just wanted to make sure you have everything you might need. This is their workers
Compensation they sent us.
I have attached the form for the Automobile and the Workers Compensation on our end. If there’s anything else
you need from me, you just let me know and I’ll try my best to get it for you as soon as I can.
I should have the city license paid this afternoon.

Jovanny,
It was originally our understanding that Missy would be assisting with the business license process;
however, we’ve been informed that she is no longer available. I’m currently in Lake Elsinore today—if
there’s anything you need me to handle in person, I’m happy to stop by Community Services.
Regarding the event, we are not utilizing any cars. This is consistent with last year’s setup, during which
the City waived this requirement under similar circumstances.
As for Workers’ Compensation, Riverside County Carnival LLC is not employing any staff for this event.
Since we are not hiring any employees, we are not required to provide workers’ compensation coverage.
Please advise if you have any futher questions.

First of all – Thanks Jovanny.
Secondly - I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your time, effort, and collaboration on this event. I
know that with every event and at every stage, there are bound to be a few hiccups along the way. I’m grateful that
we’ve been able to approach challenges with a collaborative mindset and find solutions in a positive, respectful,
and productive way.
At the core, I believe we all want the same thing — to create meaningful and well-executed events for the
community (and for me, the region). I’m confident that if we continue to work together on future events, we’ll keep
finding ways to make that happen.
I’d also like to invite you to our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, May 22nd at 2:00 PM. It’ll be a brief
gathering with a few local dignitaries and organizations to mark the launch of the event. If you're available, we’d
love to have you join us. If not, we completely understand.

week. Linda and I collected checks for the permit payment and the
$1,000.00 deposit. Alex, confirming that you have remitted payment to the
Riverside County Sheriffs as you shared with us today? I believe the final
payment would be for Fire: Traci, Chris, or Ben: can you help receiving

The City of Lake Elsinore strives to guarantee that you will be satisfied with the recreation
classes and programs in which you participate! If you are not satisfied, please call or write
us. We will be happy to arrange a transfer to another section of our program or cancel
your registration and send you a refund. Refunds will be granted if the following
guidelines are met: -Workshop, Youth Sports Clinic/Camps and Trips/Tours - a full refund
will be given when notice is received by the Community Services Department at least five
working days prior to the date of the workshop, youth sports clinic/camp or trip/tour. No
refunds will be issued after this time. -Classes - a full refund will be given when notice is
received by the Community Services Department at least five working days prior to the
first scheduled class. Requests received by the Division after this time, but before the
second scheduled class will be refunded and assessed a $5 administrative fee and the
cost of the conducted class. No refund will be issued after the second scheduled class.
Materials fees are non-refundable. -Memberships - Refunds for membership passes will be
prorated from date of purchase and/or prorated based on number of uses. A $5
administrative fee will apply to all refunds. No cash refunds will be issued. Cash payment
refunds are issued by check and are subject to the schedule of our check run each month.
If refunded by check, please allow 6-8 weeks for processing. If refunded to a credit card,
all refunds should be reflected on your next statement.
