Recommendation
Recognize the participants of the 2025 Dream Extreme Future Leaders Program for their
dedication, leadership, and successful completion of the program.
Background
The City of Lake Elsinore’s Dream Extreme Future Leaders Program is designed to introduce
local high school and college-aged students to municipal government, leadership development,
and civic engagement. Through hands-on experiences, department tours, and practical
assignments, the program provides participants with an inside look at how the City operates and
allows them to build skills in communication, teamwork, public speaking, and problem-solving.
In 2025, students participated in a structured curriculum that included:
Tours of key City operations, including the Fire Station, Public Works Yard, and Launch
Pointe
Meetings with department directors and City leadership
Staff-report writing assignments
A mock interview and leadership simulation
Discussions about local government, policy development, and community engagement
The program continues to serve as one of the City’s most impactful youth engagement
opportunities, inspiring the next generation of leaders and strengthening connections between
young residents and their local government.
