Recommendation
Approve and authorize the City Manager to purchase from Yesco for an amount not to exceed
$38,282.97 and by way of an agreement in the form approved by the City Attorney and authorize
the City Manager to execute change orders not to exceed a 10% contingency of $3,828.00 for
unanticipated costs.
Background
Yesco, or the Young Electric Sign Company, specializes in providing signage and lighting
solutions. They offer custom signage design and manufacturing, including illuminated signs and
electronic message centers. Yesco also provides installation and maintenance services for indoor
and outdoor lighting systems, focusing on energy-efficient options like LED lighting. Yesco also
offers repair services for existing signage and lighting, as well as digital signage solutions for
advertising and information display.
Originally contracted by the City's Engineering Department to install art light panels along Main
Street and Diamond Drive, Yesco's continuation as the vendor ensures continuity, compatibility,
and efficiency. By utilizing the same vendor and control platform, the City will minimize challenges
from managing multiple lighting systems, promoting operational consistency and long-term cost
effectiveness.

Discussion
This purchase will allow installing 12 existing RGB flood fixtures on the two- or three-sided
monuments at Gediman Square Parking Lot in downtown Lake Elsinore. This involves the
installation of new G2G RGB flood lights, which are designed to enhance the lighting system's
visual appearance and energy efficiency. Additionally, OptConnect Modems will be integrated to
allow for advanced control and monitoring capabilities. This will improve the overall lighting in the
area, promoting safety and aesthetics for both residents and visitors.
Fiscal Impact
The funding is available in the FY2025- 26 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Z20005.
