Hello Mr. Nelson-
I intend to do so and before your deadline tomorrow. However, I am awaiting additional
information so that I can fully understand what happened before I do so.
With that said, and because I have now informed Mr. Kilroy, I can also say that he was
correct. There are a number of homeowners who will be receiving revised tax bills and
refunds if the homeowners in question have already paid the tax bill.
As noted above, as soon as I receive a briefing on the matter, I will respond back. Thank you-
Timothy J Sheridan
Council Member, District 3

Hello Mr. Nelson -
Thank you for your email. As you indicated, Mr. Kilroy reached out about CDF
issue. He did so on November 8, 2024. I responded to him that very day. I
told him that I would look into the matter and respond back. On Thursday,
November 14, 2024, I reached out to him again and said that I was still awaiting
information on the issue. This morning, he emailed me again. I responded and
indicated that we were still working on it.
A little while ago, i received the answer and I will be responding to him
immediately.
Thank you-

Message from external sender. Use Caution.
Good afternoon!
I am a reporter for the Southern California News Group. I write
mainly for The Press Enterprise, San Bernardino Sun and Inland
Valley Daily Bulletin.
I spoke to Mr. Pat Kilroy, a Tuscany Hills resident, today. He said
his latest property tax bill included a fee of $2,163.38 for the CFD
90-2 Mello-Roos tax levied by the city in 2007 for infrastructure
improvements in the Tuscany Hills housing tract. According to the
city's annual report, this tax matured on Oct. 1, 2024. But on June
25, 2024, the City Council approved a tax levy of $885,115.10 on
424 Tuscany Hills' residents. However, according to the city annual
report's debt service schedule, it shows no payments were due on
this tax after Oct. 1, 2024, as it came to maturity.
Mr. Kilroy said he reached out and spoke to Councilmember
Timothy Sheridan and the City Clerk about two weeks ago on this
issue, but hasn't been provided any update on what the city is doing
or plans to do in following up on his inquiry. He said he plans to
attend Tuesday's City Council meeting to address this, and is
circulating a letter to neighborhood residents informing them of the
issue and Tuesday's Council meeting.
Questions:
Can you please let me know how the city is addressing Mr. Kilroy's
inquiry? Was a mistake by the city and its staff made? If so, will
the City Council need to rescind this action taken on June 25? If so,
when?
How much of this tax has the city already collected from these
affected residents? Will they be refunded whatever they may have
paid?
My dDeadline is 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21.
Thank you for your assistance!
Sincerely,
Joe Nelson
