HomeMy WebLinkAboutRSO Press Release Critical Incident Response Training RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF P R E S S R E L E A S E RIVERSIDESHERIFF.ORG 400 Reporting Deputy: Sergeant George Reyes File # N/A Details: The Riverside County Sheriff's Office Ben Clark Training Center will conduct Critical Incident Response Training on Thursday,July 18, 2024,at the Lake Elsinore Diamond Stadium, located at 500 Diamond Drive,Lake Elsinore,CA 92530. In collaboration with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC),this multi-agency training event will include law enforcement personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office,and other surrounding agencies. This training event, led by FLETC,will involve role players,designed to give law enforcement agencies realistic scenarios they may encounter when responding to an active shooter incident or a potential mass causality event.The goal of this multi-agency exercise is to test emergency protocols/procedures and to practice the operational response of personnel and agencies during an emergency event. "Law enforcement prays they never have to respond to these types of events, but it is absolutely necessary we train for these situations to ensure we are prepared should tragic events like this occur,"said Captain Sean Vickers, Ben Clark Training Center's commander. Training will start at 8:00 a.m.and end at 1:00 p.m.Training is not open to the public. During the training, Malaga Road and Pete Lehr Drive will be closed,west of Diamond Drive.
