Good afternoon Melvin and Clarke –
I trust all is well with you both.
Below is an update on Camino Del Norte plus photos. I received a voicemail from you (not sure when), but after some digging, the
City Engineer identified where we believe connection to water and sewer could possibly be made for properties off Camino Del
Norte from the Grunder parcels. The other parcels would require some further engineering design work by anyone wishing to
develop on the adjacent parcels to the north.
Sincerely,

Grant – The following is a brief update on Camino Del Norte (“CDN”): Asphalt grinding: Pending any weather issues, cold planning is scheduled for WednesdayAsphalt paving: Paving to follow the next day on Thursday which will complete the connection to Main Street from CDN. Staff determined that once CDN opened that the stretch of asphalt when it opens will not hold up. The contractor provided a quote that was significantly lower than estimated so we went ahead.Asphalt dike: After that, the asphalt dike will go in to protect the road from storm activity until additional head wall work we believe iswarranted is completed.Staff will install guardrail so CDN can be opened, then a contractor will complete the headwall concrete work while work the road isopen. Related to CDN, the following is a brief update on the new traffic signal intersection at Camino Estates Drive and the Old Franklin Overpasswhere it connects to CDN:The traffic signals are operational but on flashing red.Edison should release at the close of business today work that Siemens did on the streetlights. If released at COB, then Monday, we will have a final inspection, then partially open the intersection so traffic no longer goes throughthe neighborhood.Camino Del Norte at Canyon Estates Drive will remain closed until the asphalt work noted above is completed. Staff will update further Monday and then again as the project proceeds. No ribbon cutting has been scheduled yet, but we can visit that end ofnext week. Please advise if you have any questions.
