Since Proposition 64 passed,how many cultivation and sales permits have been issued?What are the business addresses for each permit issued? See response from Planning Department. 2. How much of the expected revenue in fiscal years 2020-2021,2021-2022,and 2022-2023 is coming into the City of Lake Elsinore as a result of the sale of commercial cannabis? We would like to know the totals for each of the following taxation points: a. City does not receive cultivation taxes. b. City does receive excise taxes, however, each permit generates a Community Benefit Fee calculated at$18 per facility square footage. c. Per the City's Sales Tax Update report published by HdL Companies, for 4th quarter of 2023 (October-December),the City generated about 107.4 thousand dollars.However,the sales tax received is collected by the State of California, and the City receives 1% of the tax activity. 3. Is there a funding distribution plan for the revenues collected via commercial cannabis sales that details how funds are intended to be spent? If so, please provide a copy of the plan. If there is no plan yet,please provide a copy of any decisions made regarding funding distribution. Revenues collected augment the cost for Police Services. 4. What programs are currently being funded by commercial cannabis revenue? Please provide a list of programs and services. Revenues collected augment the cost for Police Services. 5. Is there an implementation plan that provides a timeline on how commercial cannabis funds will be distributed?If so,please provide a copy of the plan.If there is no plan,please provide a copy of any decision regarding funding distribution implementation. Are there procedures in place for community stakeholders,nonprofit or otherwise,to work with the county to provide services funded by commercial cannabis? If so, what are the qualifications and procedures? Check with the County. 7. Has the city applied to and received funds from California cannabis grant programs? If not, does the city intend to pursue these funds in the future? No. 8. In what communities are commercial cannabis revenues being spent? Police Services for all communities within the City Limits of the City of Lake Elsinore.
