Other Items:
The Railroad Canyon Widening Project began this week. Construction hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and include regular lane closures throughout the project. One lane
will remain open at all times, with some exceptions. The City will be sure to post information regarding
planned closures whenever possible. For questions or to sign up for updates, visit www.lake-
elsinore.org/RRWidening or call the hotline number at (951) 674-1344. A flyer has been attached.
The Holy Flood Ready flyer with details on alerts, etc. has been attached for your information. For
everyone’s safety, it provides a highly recommended timeline to follow when storms and inclement
weather are approaching.
The Elsinore Christmas Bird Count was recently taken (this also includes some surrounding areas Canyon
Lake, Wildomar, parts of Menifee, and along the Ortega Mountains/Hwy). The tally ended up with 125
species, including five (5) Bald Eagles at the Lake and a rare Lesser Black-backed Gull. The 125 total is
down from the 138 species last year, but this is the average count total for the past few years. Some
beautiful photos are attached of birds seen during the count.

through our Community Services Department (flyer attached with suggested items). Please have them
