Subject: RR Cyn Widening Project Public Outreach Update
Hi Grant,
In preparation for the start of construction for the Railroad Canyon Road project, we have been
working to launch and prepare all related outreach materials. Below is a summary of what we have
completed and attached are the related items.
1. Project Webpage: www.lake-elsinore.org/RRwidening. I am going to add some alternate
routes sometime today too. Suggestions include: Hwy 74 to Greenwald Canyon Lake, Hwy 74
to 215, Bundy Canyon to 215 or Bundy Canyon to Lost Road for Canyon Hills Residents.
2. Web Banner on Home Page: www.lake-elsinore.org
3. Railroad Canyon Road Widening Hotline: (951) 674-1344
4. Online Comment/Question Form: http://www.lake-
elsinore.org/Home/Components/Form/Form/2d4d92f2a9ca47ceb0443e1248be860d/1109
5. Project Fact Sheet/Update #1: Attached. Will be on website, social media and printed in
lobby. We will work on delivering this to some other important agencies including HOAs.
6. Email Notification Form to receive email updates re: the project: http://http//www.lake-
elsinore.org/Home/Components/Form/Form/eca8c9e3c1984103a64857e730b197bc/1109
7. Email Stakeholder List: Completed – Already have received 20 or so residents interested in
receiving emails. Attached.
8. Email Blast #1: Attached. This will go out shortly. City Council, Commissioners, All Staff will
also receive. I will be including the attached Fact Sheet.
9. Social Media Post Update #1: Attached and to be posted before end of day. I will boost (or
pay to advertise) as well over the next 4 days.
10. Billboard Design: Attached and sent to be posted this afternoon on Storm Sign.
11. Media Outreach: I have reached out to The Press-Enterprise, Valley News, Friday Flyer and the
Patch. The Valley News is running an article next week and I spoke very quickly to The Press-
Enterprise so they will be running something. They were not interested in much, just what the
project will do. I provided a brief statement and stated that I am happy to connect them with
an official in the future if interested.
I am still working on the following:
1. Video on Monday at launch of the project (possibly)
2. City Council Slide for Tuesday
3. Alert LE Mobile App Notification
4. Government Cable Channel Post
If there is anything else that comes to mind or other ideas, I welcome them. I know the community
will not be thrilled, but I think we have done a lot to try to at least alert them to the coming impacts.
