The comment is shown at the end of the attached spreadsheet. Specifically, she is asking for: “However, the Assessment is lacking a figure that shows suitable habitat, transects, and the 150-meter buffer. In accordance with the MSHCP Burrowing Owl Survey Instructions (RCA 2006), if burrowing owl habitat occurs on site, the extent of suitable habitat including buffer, transect locations should be provided. Revise the Assessment applicable text accordingly and provide a figure (see email attached example) that clearly depicts suitable habitat, the survey area including the 150-meter survey buffer, and the transect lines followed during the burrow survey.” Shawn, Please revise your report accordingly and I’ll forward to RCA. Use Caution. Hi Richard, We have reviewed the supporting application materials for JPR 23-04-11-01 (LEAP 2022-03 / Mission Trails at Lemon Project) including a General Biological Assessment for APNs 370-050-019, 020 and 032 (Updated July 2023) prepared by Hernandez Environmental Inc., and GIS shapefiles. We have some requests for additional information. The attached “Comments Tracking Table” is being requested in order to provide complete and accurate documentation that supports the record for this project’s consistency with the MSHCP. Additionally, the attached “Pages from PD190063…” from the Corydon and Union-Rowland Property Bio Report is provided as an example to facilitate our comment and request regarding the 6.3.2 Additional Survey Needs - Burrowing Owl documentation. The Permittee/Applicant should pay close attention to the notes provided in the attached Comments/Responses Table, located above the Table. These notes and the overall approach have changed slightly. The Table and revised JPR documentation OR the Table-only (if the Permittee/Applicant chooses this latter approach) should be sent to me via email, with a copy to Tricia Campbell (tcampbell@rctc.org), Carol Thompson (cthompson@rctc.org), and Leslie Levy (llevy@rctc.org) at the RCA and Britney Schultz (bschultz@dudek.com) at Dudek. This JPR will be placed “on hold” to allow you adequate time to address the comments. Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions. Thank you!
