Installers have the ability to create, configure and manage up to eight communication paths. The unique DMP Serial format supports 16 or 32-character user, zone and area names to decrease the central station response time and limit dependence on automation literal tables for message conversion. Built-in Ethernet Communications enhance network options and provide Standard and Encrypted Line Security. Both UDP and TCP are supported. The network option can be used as the primary or backup path to the digital dialer or cellular option. The XR100FC/XR500FC Command Processor Panel used with the 463G Digital Cellular Communicator has earned the UL 864 tilting when used as the primary path (no backup required) for commercial fire installations per NPFA 72. The check -in and fail time settings are programmed for five minutes. As the backup path, the 463G provides the security of a communication Link that continues to function, even when land lines are cut or compromised. This interface works on digital cellular GSM/GPRS data networks over a variety of carriers in the USA and Canada. For XRi00FC/XR500FC Series Fire Panels. the 463G plug-in Digital Cellular Communicator can be used as the primary path, providing installation flexibility where no land lines are available. Can be used as a stand-alone communicator without the need for a backup. Used as the backup path, the 463G provides the security of a communication link that continues to function, even when land lines are cut or compromised. This interface works on digital Cellular GSM/GPRS data networks over a variety of carriers in the USA and Canada. Create, configure, and manage up to eight communication paths betweenthe paneland Central Station. Each path has its own panel communication programming parameters, and can be identified as either primary or backup. This enables installers to configure a reliable communication link, offering greater confidence that the panel will always be connected to the Central Station. The enhanced diagnostic menu enables technicians to check network and cellular communication status, Celt signal strength, and email status from the keypad. Program zones for fire, fire verify, fire retard, presignat, cross zoning, or fire supervisory. This flexibility allows the ability to match individual zone characteristics to the needs of any area in the fire installation. The FC Series provides up to 562 zones, programmable for a variety of fire applications. The system provides Class B 12 VDC powered zones, two on -board and four on the 715 Module, plus eight panel burglary zones. Up to 60 zones are available on 15 keypad addresses and up to 100 zones are available on the built-in LX-Bus TM. Add up to 500 zones using Expansion Modules. Used primarily for smoke detector circuits to verify the existence of an actual fire condition. When a Fire Verify zone initiates an alarm, the panel performs a Sensor Reset. If any Fire Verify zone initiates an alarm within 120 seconds afterthe reset, an alarm is indicated. If an alarm is initiated after another 120 seconds, the cycle is repeated. Easily add NAC outputs to the XR100FC/ XR500FC system. Up to three Class B modules can be mounted within the FACP. Model865 or 866 Class B NAC Modules may be combined with a power supply to provide additional 4 Amp NAC outputs. Use an 867 on the SLC Loop to further expand NAC circuits. Users can test fire notification belts using the Fire Drill feature. A special code is also available for installers to test the system. The one-man walk test feature allows a single technician to check the panel response to fire, burglary, panic and supervisory zones. No programming device is required, enabling installers and service technicians to fully program the system and run diagnostics from any DMP LCD keypad. Check the electrical state of zones, find individual zone numbers, check the LX-Bus for Missing, Overlapping and/or Extra zones, and much more, all from any DMP LCD keypad. The XR100FCIXR500FC Series panel accepts software updates from a remote location using Remote LinkTM software. When new XR100FC/XR500FC feature updates release, perform the flash update remotely. The XRi00FC/XR500FC series allows the use of two SPDT relay outputs and four open collector outputs, that may be activated by zone or system events, by schedule, through the User Menu or when a card is presented. Output Groups allow multiple outputs to activate with a single event and/or can be assigned to a particular user profile up to 500 outputs on the LX-Bus when optional output expanders are used. Achieve maximum system flexibility with 100 programmable schedules that simplify planning and operations. Control any contact -activated device with schedules that automatically regulate relays and switched - ground outputs. For additional flexibility, keypads attached to the XR100FC/XR500FC Series panels can display keypad Status List and User Menu text using multiple languages. The user has the option to select the language to use. To provide maximum system flexibility, fire zones may be programmed to display at a specific keypad. In this manner, all fire zones can be monitored in one location and other zones can be programmed to display and be monitored at different keypad locations. The Display Events feature allows users to view up to 2,000 stored fire events, zone events, user code and schedule changes, and supervisory events. The Remote Link programming software takes advantage of the easy -to -use simplicity of Microsoftm Windows TM. The large wire entry port and in -line terminals provide ample room for neatly routing the wiring inside the base. The base accommodates a variety of back box mounting methods as well as direct mounting with drywall anchors. To complete the installation, i3 heads plug into the base with a simple Stop-Drop'N Lock" action. Intellipemo. i3 detectors offer a number of intelligent features to simplify testing and maintenance. Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms are standard with the i3 line to minimize nuisance alarms. 2-wire i3 detectors can generate a remote LED - indicated maintenance signal when connected to the 2W-MOD2 loop test/maintenance module or a panel equipped with the i3 protocol. The SENS-RDR, a wireless device, displays the sensitivityof P detectors in terms of percent -per -foot obscu ration. Instant impection. The i3 series provides wide-angle red and green LED indicators for instant inspection of the detector's condition: normal standby, out -of -sensitivity, alarm, or freeze trouble. When connected to the 2W-MOD2 loop test/maintenance module or a panel with the i3 protocol, the EZ Walk loop test feature is available on 2-wire i3 detectors. This feature verifies the initiating loop wiring by providing LED status indication at each detector. The unit will fit on most ball valves installed on back-flow-pruventers and alarm trim lines of dry, alarm, and deluge sprinkler valves. The switch operates if the ball valve handle is moved from the open position. However, the switch does not track the position of the handle or ball. When the ball valve handle is in the open position, a spring -loaded switch button will contact the valve handle. When the handle is moved from the open position, this switch button extends tothe tripped position, and the RBVS contacts change state, thereby opening or closing a circuit. A cover tamper switch is available and is activated by the removal of the RBVS housing cover. If an attempt is made to remove the RBVS by the removal of the mounting brackets, the unit will be set into the tripped mode by this action. The RBVS can be mounted to the hex portion of the ball valve or back-flo w- preventer onto the adjoining pipe via two clamps. The RBVS is shipped with two sets of mounting clamps to accommodate various pipe and valve sizes, refer to Table 1. AWL" shaped and onset bracket fox mounting the switch enclosure and an extension bracket add to the mounting flexibility of the RBVS. See "Typical Mounting Diagram" and "Installation and Operation" on following page. Testing The RBVS and its associated protective monitoring system should he tested in accordance with applicable NFPA codes and standards and/or the authority having.rurisdiction (manufacturer recommends quarterly or more frequently). The allowable leakage shall be within the limits prescribed by NFPA 24 and shall be recorded on the test certificate. 8-2.2.6 Provision shall be made for the proper disposal of water used for flushing or testing. 8-2.2.7* Test blanks shall have painted lugs protruding in such a way as to clearly indicate their presence. The test blanks shall be numbered, and the installing contractor shall have a record -keeping method ensuring their removal after work is completed. 8-2.2.8 Differential -Type Valves. When subject to hydro- static test pressures, the clapper of a dillercntial-type valve shall be held off its seat to prevent damaging the valve. 8-2.3 Dry System Air Test. In addition to the standard hydrostatic test, an air pressure leakage test at 40 psi 2.8 bars) shall be conducted for 24 hours. Any leakage that results in a loss of pressure in excess of 1 1/2 psi (0.1 bar) for the 24 hours shall be corrected. 8-2.4 System Operational Tests. 8-2.4.1 Waterflow detecting devices including the associ- ated alarm circuits shall be flow tested through the inspec- tor's test connection to result in an alarm on the premises within 5 min after such flow begins. 8-2.4.2 A working test of the dry pipe valve alone, and with a quick -opening device, if installed, shall be made by opening the inspector's test connection. The test shall mea- sure the time to trip the valve and the time for water to be discharged from the inspector's test connection. All times shall be measured from the time the inspector's test con- nection is completely opened. The results shall be recorded using the Contractor's Material and "test Certificate fin - Aboveground Piping. 8-2.4.3 Tire automatic operation of a d(+1ge or preaction valve shall be tested in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The manual and remote control operation, where present, shall also be tested. 8-2.4.4 The main drain valve shall be opened and remain open until the system pressure stabilizes. The static and residual pressures shall be recorded on the contractor's test certificate. 8-2.5 Each pressure -reducing valve shall be tested uposa completion of installation to ensure proper operation under flow and no -flow conditions. Testing shall verify that the device properly regulates outlet pressure at both max- imum and normal inlet pressure conditions. The results of the flow test of each pressure -reducing valve shall be recorded on the contractor's test certificate. The results shall include the static and residual inlet pressures, static and residual outlet pressures, and the flow rate. 8-2.6 Operating tests shall be made of exposure protec- tion systems upon completion of the installation, where such tests do not risk water damage to the building on which they are installed or to adjacent buildings. 8-3 Circulating Closed Loop Systems. For sprinkler sys- tems with nonfire protection connections, additional infor- mation shall be appended to the Contractor's Material and Test Certificate shown in Figure 8-1(a) as follows: a) Certification that all auxiliary devices, such as heat pumps, circulating pumps, heat exchangers, radiators, and luminaries: if a part of the system, have a pressure rating of at least 175 psi or 300 psi (12.1 or 20.7 bars) if exposed to pressures greater than 175 psi (12.1 bars). 1994 Edition I TRADE FIRE PROTECTION GROUP HYDRAULIC CALCULATIONS FOR LAKE ELSINORE CULTURAL CENTER 130 SOUTH MAIN STREET, LAKE ELSINORE, CA 92530 DRAWING NUMBER: F.P-2 DATE: AUGUST, 2013 DESIGN DATA - REMOTE AREA NUMBER: 1 REMOTE AREA LOCATION: 2ND.
