PUBLIC HEARING 18)Appeal of the Planning Commission’s Action to Approve Planning Application No. 2021-28 for the Corydon III Project Adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, DENYING AN APPEAL OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION’S ACTION TO APPROVE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2021-06 AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN REVIEW NO. 2021-04 AND UPHOLDING THE PLANNING COMMISSION’S FINDINGS AND APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2021-06 AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN REVIEW NO. 2021-04 FOR TWO INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS TOTALING 63,030 SQUARE FEET LOCATED AT APNs: 370-080-007, 370-080-006, AND 370-080-020. The Public Hearing was opened at 7:16 p.m. Associate Planner Beery presented a staff report. Victoria Yundt, representing the appellant, was called to speak. Ace Vallejos was called to speak. CITY ATTORNEY COMMENTS City Attorney Leibold had no comments. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS/REPORTS ON MEETINGS ATTENDED Council Member Magee shared that Lake Elsinore's Sara Price and her partner Kyle Leduc finished first in the Extreme Championship in Sardiana, Italy. Council Member Tisdale advised that the Queen of Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. has part time and full time positions available; announced a job fair being hosted at Soboba Casino Resort on July 13 and July 27, 2022 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Soboba Casino in San Jacinto; noted that Women Veterans Health Program is hosting a virtual town hall meeting on July 20, 2022 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on WebEx; and stated that America's Job Center of California is hosting a job fair on July 29, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Riverside-America's Job Center of California in Riverside; and provided additional information on the projects occurring in District 1 as shared in the Monday Minute. Council Member Manos reported on his and City Manager Simpson's attendance at the Cal Cities Riverside County Division meeting; noted that he received positive comments on the City's Forth of July fireworks show; provided information regarding CR&R's staffing shortages; invited the community to attend the Movies in the Park on July 13, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. at Summerlake Park; and encouraged residents to attend the Live at the Lakefront Free Summer Concert Series on Thursdays during the month of July at 6:30 p.m. at Launch Pointe. Mayor Pro Tem Johnson provided April 2022 Lake Elsinore sheltered animal statistics; announced that the 12U Co-Ed Lake Elsinore Aquatics Team placed third in the Junior Olympics Qualifier event in San Jose; and spoke on her attendance at the Riverside County Sheriff's Annual Awards Ceremony and shared that two of Lake Elsinore's deputies were awarded Life Saving medals. Mayor Sheridan reported on his attendance at the Riverside Transit Agency Budget and Finance Committee Meeting on July 6, 2022; advised that the Mornings on Main Farmers Market is moving to City Park and invited the community to attend the event; encouraged residents to attend the second Historic Main Street Classic Car Show on July 23, 2022 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Main Street; and invited residents to his next Bring Your Own Breakfast event on July 26, 2022 at 7:30 a.m. in the Cultural Center. ADJOURNMENT The Lake Elsinore City Council adjourned at 8:02 p.m. to the next Regular meeting of Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the Cultural Center located at 183 N. Main Street.
