CITY COUNCIL BUSINESS ITEM 17)Adoption of Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of Community Facilities District No. 2016-2 (Canyon Hills) Subordinate Special Tax Bonds, Series 2022 Adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2016-2 (CANYON HILLS) AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF ITS SUBORDINATE SPECIAL TAX BONDS, SERIES 2022 IN A PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,500,000) AND APPROVING CERTAIN DOCUMENTS AND TAKING CERTAIN OTHER ACTIONS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH. City Manager Simpson introduced Brian Forbath, Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, who provided a presentation. The Public Hearing was opened at 7:26 p.m. City Manager Simpson introduced Michael Busch and Tom Jacobs, who provided a presentation. There were no speakers. CITY MANAGER COMMENTS City Manager Simpson introduced the Riverside Sheriff's Office new Parks Deputy Anthony Crivello. CITY ATTORNEY COMMENTS City Attorney Leibold had no comments. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS Council Member Magee encouraged participants to join the 9th Annual Dream Extreme Fishing Derby; announced that the San Diego SCCA Autocross will be at Diamond Stadium on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Diamond Stadium; and invited children ages 15 and younger to participate in the Kids' Fishing Derby on June 4, 2022 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Launch Pointe. Council Member Tisdale welcomed Felicity's Collection to the City; shared the City's results in the Reality Rally; invited the community to the Veteran Pop -up Art Cafe on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Box in Riverside; shared information for the Ruck Challenge 6th Annual 10k run on Saturday, May 21, 2021 at the American Legion Riverside Post 79 Hall; encouraged recreation instructors to apply with the City; provided information regarding Northwest Mosquito & Vector Control District; and announced that May is both National Drowning Prevention Month and Mental Health Awareness Month. Council Member Manos shared information regarding voting in the June 7, 2022 Primary Election; announced the grand opening of Ranch RV & Self -Storage; promoted the Back to the 90's event on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Diamond Stadium; and encouraged residents and business owners to apply for the Planning Commission. Mayor Pro Tem Johnson congratulated Lake Elsinore Unified School District students for receiving the Student of the Year Awards from the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce; encouraged students 13 to 16 years of age to apply for the Leader in Training program; shared the Empty the Shelters National Adoption event during which pets can be adopted for only $25 through May 15 at Animal Friends of the Valleys; and encouraged residents to register for swim lessons at Lakeside High School. Mayor Sheridan shared the discussion during his recently -held Bring our Own Dinner event; announced the next Bring Your Own Breakfast event at 7:30 a.m. on May 31, 2022 in the Cultural Center; encouraged sponsors and participants for the COPS for Kids Celebrity Golf Tournament on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Dos Lagos Golf Course; shared information regarding Jacob's House 8th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Bear Creek Golf Club; invited the community to attend the Lambs Fellowship Car & Bike Show from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022; announced the Historic Main Street Classic Car Show which will be held June 25, July 23, and August 27, 2022 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Main Street in Downtown; shared information on the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Career Fair on Sunday, May 15, 2022 in La Quinta; encouraged the community to support the LE Girls Softball All -stars Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 by mentioning the fundraiser at Raising Canes from 2:00 to 10:00 p..m.; and adjourned the meeting to an Adjourned Regular City Council meeting on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
