Re: Notice of Withdrawal of Comment Letter for Fairway Business Park Phase III
(PA # 2021-29)
Dear Mayor Magee, Mayor Pro Tem Sheridan, and Honorable Councilmembers:
On December 14, 2021, Supporters Alliance for Environmental Responsibility (“SAFER”)
submitted a comment letter challenging the Fairway Business Park Phase III Project (“Project”)
and its associated Addendum to the 2007 Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared for the Fairway
Business Park. The Project is being developed by Fairway Commercial Partners, Inc.
SAFER is pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement with Fairway
Commercial Partners to resolve the issues raised in the comment letter. Pursuant to our agreement,
Fairway Commercial Partners has agreed to implement additional measures to address SAFER’s
air quality concerns and to address the biological impacts of the project.
In consideration of these additional measures, SAFER is pleased to withdraw from the
record its comment letter regarding the Project and the Addendum and to state that it has no
opposition to the Project. SAFER believes that the construction and operation of the Project will be
environmentally responsible and will benefit the City.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
SAFER
