.�EREAS, the citizens of the City of Lake Elsinore have great admiration
and the utmost gratitude for all the men and women who have selflessly served
their country andthis community in the Armedgorces andhave borne the brunt
of battle; and
�YV.,1Veterans have paid the high price of freedom by leaving their
families and communities andplacing themselves in harm's way for the good of
aCC and
JVJ7T, REAS, the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women from
the City of Lake Elsinore -who served in the .firmed ,Forces have been vital in
defending the hard-won freedoms and liberties of our Constitution that are
treasured by our citizens; and
JVMEREAS, many citizens of our community have been awarded the
Purple Heart -Medal in recognition of being wounded -while engaged in combat
with an enemy force, construed as a singularly meritorious act of essential
service.

the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore does
hereby again proclaim Lake Elsinore as a Purple
Heart City honoring the service and sacrifice of
our nations men and women in uniform wounded
or killed by the enemy while serving to protect the
freedoms enjoyed by all-Americans.
