A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AND
FIRE AGREEMENT FOR WILDLAND PROTECTION SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR
2020-2021.
Whereas, the City of Lake Elsinore is responsible for the protection of life, property and wildland
areas comprising of 1,689 acres of land; and,
Whereas, the City Council (Council) approved an initial agreement with California Department of
Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE) in 2013 for wildland protection services; and,
Whereas, the Council approved the renewal of said Agreement in 2015 for Fiscal Years 2015-2016
and 2016-2017; and;
Whereas, the Council approved the renewal of said Agreement in 2018 for Fiscal Years 2018-2019.
Whereas, the Council approved the renewal of said Agreement in 2019 for Fiscal Years 2019-2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council hereby approves the agreement with CALFIRE for wildland protection
services from July 2020 through June 2021.
Section 2. The Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement, subject to
minor modifications as approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Passed and Adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore,
California, this 28th day of April 2020.
