Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, April3, 2018
CALL TO ORDER
A Regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Lake Elsinore was held in the Cultural
Center, 185 North Main Street, on the above date. The meeting was called to order at 6:01 p.m. by
Chairman Gray.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Vice-Chair Ross.
ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Carroll and Klaarenbeek; Chairman Gray and Vice-Chair Ross.
Absent: Commissioner Armit
PUBLIC COTUIMENTS - NON AGENDIZED ITEMS - 3 MINUTES
There were no members of the public appearing to speak.
PUBLIC HEARING ITEM(S)
'1 ) Plannino Application No. 2017-57 - A Sinqle-Storv 1 .567 Sq. Ft. Sinqle-Familv Residence with A
483 Sq. Ft. Attached Two-Car Garaqe.
The Public Hearing was opened at 6:02 p.m. There were no conflict of lnterest disclosures.
Administrative Clerk Wells affirmed receipt of Proof of Publication and noted that correspondence had
been received.
Commissioner Armit joined the meeting at 6:02 p.m.
Community Development Technician Poley presented the Staff Report.
There were no members of the public appearing to comment.
There being no further response to the Chairman's invitation to speak, the Public Hearing was declared
closed at 6:06 p.m.
It was moved by Vice-Chair Ross, seconded by Commissioner Carroll, and unanimously carried, to
adopt the Resolutions,
Resolution 2018-25:
adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT PLANNING APPLICATION NO. 2017-57 (RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
REVIEW NO. 2017.26) IS CONSISTENT WITH THE WESTERN RIVERSIDE COUNTY MULTIPLE
SPECIES HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN (MSHCP); and,
Resolution 2018-26:
adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANNING APPLICATION NO. 2017.57 (RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
REVTEW NO. 2017-26) FOR THE CONSTRUCTTON OF A TWO-STORY 1 ,567 SQUARE FOOT
SINGLE.FAMILY RESIDENCE WITH A 483 SQUARE FOOT ATTACHED TWO-CAR GARAGE AND
238 SQUARE FOOT REAR DECK LOCATEDATAPNS: 375-023-034.033 and 032.

Sq. Ft. Attached Two Car Garaqe.

adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT PLANNING APPLICATION NO. 2018-04 (RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
REVIEW NO. 2018-02) IS CONSISTENT WITH THE WESTERN RIVERSIDE COUNTY MULTIPLE
SPECIES HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN (MSHCP).
Resolution 2018-28:
adopt A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANNING APPLICATION NO. 2018-04 (RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
REVTEW NO. 2018-02) FOR THE CONSTRUCTTON OF A 3,383 SQUARE FOOT TWO-STOY
SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE WITH A 598 SQUARE FOOT ATTACHED TWO.CAR GAMGE, A 245
SQUAREFOOTTERMCELOCATEDUPON THE SECOND FLOOR, A 104 SQUARE FOOT
PORCH AND RELATED IMPROVEMNETS LOCATED AT APN: 374-123-003.

ProDosed Variance Complies with the Purpose and lntent of Chaoter 17.200 and Approves The
Variance Request.
Principal Planner Kirk presented the Staff Report.
The Commissioners had a discussion on the use of the lot. Commissioner Klaarenbeek advised staff to
look into any accessibility issues so the applicant would be protected.
It was moved by Commissioner Armit, seconded by Vice-Chair Ross, and carried to approve the
Variance Request.

There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 6:25
