Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Agreementwith Hemet Fence Corporationto include Citywide
Parks Upgrades, CIP#Z40023 and increase compensation to the not to exceed amount of
$96,900 for FY2019/2020. Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement in such final
form as approved by the City Attorney.
Background
The City entered into an agreement with Hemet Fence Corporation forthe Canyon Hills Park
Upgrades projecton June 11, 2019. Compensation for this contractwas inthe amount of
$43,900.Projectsidentified were expanddog parkto accommodate heavy use,dugout
expansion with ADA access,replacement of damaged fencing near the splashpad and baseball
outfield, and fencing added to the rear of the property to discourage trespassingafter hours.
Discussion
Amendment No. 1 increases Hemet Fence contract by $52,900 to coveradditional fencing
projectsrequiredat Canyon Hills Community Park; amendsthe scope of the contract to include
the CIP Citywide Park Upgrades at Creekside Park and Rosetta Canyon Community Park.
Creekside Parkproject is to remove and replace damaged chainlink fence around tennis
courts. Rosetta Canyon SportsPark project adds lodgepolefencing to the sports parks side
parking lotto inhibit in undesignated areas.
Fiscal Impact
Funds have been budgeted for in the CIPbudget.
