Hi Justin,
Thank you for calling me yesterday to discuss my concerns regarding the cannabis
facilities which are the subject of Tuesday's public hearing. To recap, I own the
43,000 sf building at 20590 Cereal St. and I also lease a 2,000 sf space at 31885
Corydon, Unit 130. The latter space is directly adjacent to, and across from, two
of the subject businesses. Also, I have copied Gary Maddox in this email who
owns Gary Maddox Construction, located at 31883 Corydon, Unit 130.
As I expressed in our conversation, I am looking to be assured that - in addition to
the conditions upon these businesses that they implement heightened security
measures - Lake Elsinore PD will be allocating additional resources specific to
insuring the health, safety and welfare of the surrounding businesses, their
employees and their customers. An additional concern is the concentration of
these businesses being allowed in such a small area. Also, parking in this
industrial area is scarce and we are not sure how the City has determined the
number of parking spaces that should be accommodated for the different uses of
each of these businesses.
We would also like to see more specificity with regards to what are categorized as
"support" and "ancillary" uses. There should also be clarification of the
differences between cultivation, manufacturing, processing etc so that the basis
for the conditions is more clearly understood.
