At last night's meeting I opposed to increase in City Council compensation. The matter has been sent back to staff for further study. As to the increase in density proposed by Summerly, I share your concerns here and will be looking to work on a compromise. Robert E. I strongly believe that we do not need any more homes in lake Elsinore and need to stop building or adding more homes to the existing plans. 156 is more then enough plus they want to down size the lot which should not be allowed all the developer is trying to do is trying to make more money. We do not need to add anymore homes or allow this to continue to happen. The 15 Freeway is constantly backed up and this is a major issue WHICH NO MORE CONSTRUCTION SHOULD HAPPEN AT ALL IN THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE UNTIL THIS IS FIXED!! PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO BUILD MORE HOMES!!! The people are fed-up with this! Thank you Barbara 2 S^ff le-"-v,*futr ,0r'fu Jll&.n^, No ' lASusan M. Domen, MMC; Steve Manos ln favor of council monthly stipends HiGrant, I wanted to enter my opinion regarding monthly stipends for our council members. I unfortunately was not able to attend the 3/1312018 meeting for public comments. From my observations, this council works extremely hard and puts in countless hours to be available for the citizens of Lake Elsinore. They put aside work and family obligations to devote to the never ending queries, complaints and praises from the citizens; not only in person, but by email and Facebook. They make themselves available on the weekends to participate in community activities and even late into the night during midweek town hall meetings. It's my understanding that our city is governed by General Law and the maximum amount of stipend they can receive is based on our population size? I am in favor of awarding our council the maximum amount available by California law. Raising the stipend amount will serve to compensate the current council for their time and expenses. The stipend will also hopefully encourage new residents to consider running for a council seat in the future. As you are aware, we pay a high premium to live in California. This increase of pay is just a drop in the bucket and won't make anyone "rich". I see it as a small token of appreciation for the hard work they do. As our city manager (CEO), I feel it's important that you reward them for a job well done. Thank you for your time and consideration.
