Subject:Campground Rehabilitation Update
Recommendations
The City Council receive and file the presentation by PlainJoe Studios and staff.
Background
Staff will present an update on the Campground Rehabilitation Project. In addition, PlainJoe
Studios will present the results of the branding process for the campground.
In 2016, staff secured $10,000,000 in financing and with additional funding on hand,initiated the
rehabilitation of the campground site.To date, we have spent approximately $5.2 million. The
City has been serving in the role of Owner/Builder for the project using multiple bid sets to
accomplish the rehabilitation and installation of improvements. To date the following
improvements have been made:
RV and Boat Storage
Maintenance Building
Group Camping Area and related amenities
Wet Utilities (Sewer and water hookups/utilities in process)
Dry Utilities (Electricity hookups in process)
Demolition and Rough Grading completed
Site Development –underway and on-going
Community Hall and Check-In Admin building –underway and going vertical
Fiscal Impact
