Subject:Notice of Completion on Senior Activity Center Emergency Repairs
Recommendations
1. Authorize staff to file the Notice of Completion with the County Recorder for the
Senior Activity Center.
2. Authorize final costs and staff to release all retention monies 35 days after the filing
of the Notice of Completion for the listed projects, with an amendment to the budget
of $68,500 for additional electrical repairs and water damage inside exterior walls.
Projects: Emergency Building Repairs - Maples & Associates, Inc.; Concrete
Repairs - DM Contracting Inc.; Sewer Lift Station and Pump Shutoff Valves - Morrow

Background
The City Council awarded contracts to Maples & Associates, Inc. and staff executed contracts to
other vendors listed for the work specified in the above table. All of this work has been completed.
Final billing and invoicing has been received by the City and contractors paid in full less the
retention amounts, as applicable.
Discussion
The contractor has completed the corresponding scope of work for the subject projects.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for these project is provided under the City’s CIP adopted budget for the Fiscal Year
2016/2017 and related amendments.
