A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AND
FIRE AGREEMENT FOR WILDLAND PROTECTION SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR
2017/2018
Whereas, the City of Lake Elsinore (City) is responsible for the protection of life, property and
wildland areas comprising of 1,689 acres of land; and,
Whereas, the Council approved an initial agreement with California Department of Forestry and
Fire Protection (CALFIRE) in 2013 for wildland protection services; and,
Whereas, the Council approved the renewal of said agreement in 2015 for Fiscal Years
2015/2016 and 2016/17.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Council hereby approves the agreement with CALFIRE for wildland protection
services from July 2017 through June 2018.
Section 2: The Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement, subject
to minor modifications as approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
