Subject:Mayor’s Recommended Council Appointments
Recommendation
Establish three new Ad Hoc Committees: Red Tape, Mayor for International Affairs and Public
Safety; and appoint Members to serve on the various Committees, Subcommittees and Ad Hoc
Committees
Background
Each year, the Mayor makes recommendations as to the individual Council Members being
appointed to the various Governmental Agency and City committees, Subcommittees and Ad-
Hoc committees.
Discussion
The Mayor is recommending the following changes to the appointments:
Animal Shelter JPA - Mayor Pro Tem Johnson being the delegate and Council Member Tisdale
being the alternate.
Budget Subcommittee – Council Member Tisdale replacing Mayor Magee.
Commission Appointments – Council Member Tisdale and Mayor Pro Tem Johnson replacing
Mayor Magee and Council Member Hickman.
Additionally, the Mayor is requesting the addition of three new Ad Hoc committees, Red Tape
(Mayor Magee and Council Member Hickman), Mayor for International Affairs (Council Member
Hickman) and Public Safety (Mayor Magee and Council Member Tisdale).
Fiscal Impact
There is no cost associated with this item.
