HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem # 4 Endresen Amendment No. 3 - SRREPORT TO CITY COUNCIL To:Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council From:Grant Yates, City Manager Prepared by: Catherine Eakins, Administrative Assistant Date:January 10, 2017 Subject:Amendment No. 3 to Increase Award Amount for Endresen Development Contractor Services (On-Call) Agreement Recommendation Authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 3 increasing the agreement by $30,000, for a total not to exceed amount of $120,000. Background Amendment No. 2 to the contract with Endresen Development was executed on July 1, 2016 for on-call contractor services in the amount of $30,000, totaling $90,000 since inception in the prior fiscal year. Since the beginning of this fiscal year, Endresen has performed a number of tasks for the City: 1.Diamond Stadium temporary habitat fencing $3,076 2.Fire Station #85 Emergency call-drain blockage 485 3.Senior Center Annex Building Replace Broken Window 237 4.Planet Youth – Remove and Replace Window 270 5.Fire Station #97 Install new dishwasher 889 6.Lake de-stratification system electrical repairs to Axial Flow 520 7.Lakes – Electrical trouble shoot/test breakers Barge #5 565 8.Repairs to ten (10) city owned street lights 1,700 9.Fire Station #85 Rebuild broiler gas valve on stove 80 10.Fire Station #97 Remove & Replace Cabinet 954 11.Senior Center handrail upgrade 5,865 12.Fire Station #85 Service call for A/C Operation 125 13.Fire Station #97 Service on A/C 2,300 14.Repair fencing at Tuscany Hills basin 2,380 15.Collier Light Repair 3,800 16.Swick & Matich Park dugout repairs 10,300 Total $33,546 Endresen Development Contractor Services (On-Call) Amendment No. 3 01/10/2017 Page 2 Discussion Endresen Development has proven to a reliable contractor in providing on-call contractor services for unexpected work that must be performed on an emergency basis or with very short notice. The projects listed above were not planned work and have depleted the initial $30,000. Staff is requesting an increase of an additional $30,000, bringing the total amended contract total to a not to exceed amount of $120,000 for FY 2016/17. Fiscal Impact This amendment provides an additional $30,000 for contractor services which will be paid from FY 2016/2017 Public Works Operations budget.
