RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES RECYCLING AND RECOVERY (CALRECYCLE)
FOR GRANT FUNDS AND RELATED AUTHORIZATIONS
Whereas, Public Resources Code sections 40000, et seq. authorize the Department of
Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), to administer various grant programs in
furtherance of the State of California's efforts to reduce, recycle and reuse solid waste
generated in the State thereby preserving landfill capacity and protecting public health and
safety and the environment; and,
Whereas, in furtherance of this authority, CalRecycle is required to establish procedures
governing the application, awarding, and management of the grants; and,
Whereas, grant application procedures require an applicant's governing body to authorize by
resolution its approval for submittal of the grant application(s) identified below, and the
designation by job title of the individual authorized to execute all grant documents on behalf of
the City of Lake Elsinore; and,
Whereas, if awarded, the City of Lake Elsinore will enter into grant agreement(s) with the
CalRecycle for implementation of such grant(s).
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Lake Elsinore is authorized to submit an application to CalRecycle for
any and all grant programs offered.
Section 2. The City Manager, or his /her designee, is hereby authorized as Signature Authority
to execute all documents necessary to implement and secure payment.
Section 3. This authorization is effective through March 31, 2022.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
