HomeMy WebLinkAboutNotice of Public HearingCITY Qf .cn y, LAf -E C?NNORKE DREAM EXI KIWI- NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore, California, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the Lake Elsinore Cultural Center, 183 North Main Street, Lake Elsinore, California, 92530, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to consider the following item: MUNICIPAL CODE AMENepMENT— AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE MUNICIPAL CODE, TITLE 8 "HEALTH AND SAFETY ", BY UPDATING CHAPTER 8.18 "NUISANCE ABATEMENT" TO ADD SECTION 8.18.160 CONCERNING HAZARDOUS VEGETATION, WEEDS AND RUBBISH ABATEMENT, AND REPEALING CHAPTER 8.32 "WEED AND RUBBISH ABATEMENT ". PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA), THIS ORDINANCE IS NOT SUBJECT TO CEQA PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 15060(C)(2) (THE ACTIVITY WILL NOT RESULT IN A DIRECT OR REASONABLY FORESEEABLE INDIRECT PHYSICAL CHANGE IN THE ENVIRONMENT) AND 15060(C)(3) (THE ACTIVITY IS NOT A PROJECT AS DEFINED IN SECTION 15378) OF THE CEQA GUIDELINES, CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS, TITLE 14, CHAPTER 3, BECAUSE IT HAS NO POTENTIAL FOR RESULTING IN PHYSICAL CHANGE TO THE ENVIRONMENT, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. THEREFORE, NO ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT IS REQUIRED OR NECESSARY. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS are hereby invited to attend this public hearing to present written information, express opinions or otherwise present evidence in the above matter. If you wish to legally challenge any action taken by the City on the above matter, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City prior to or at the public hearing. L.51LL�Jf L NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Lake Elsinore, California, will hold a public hearing on February 9, 2016, at the Lake Elsinore Cultural Center, 183 North Main Street, Lake Elsinore, California, 92530, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to consider the following related items: MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENT 2016 -01 - AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE MUNICIPAL CODE, TITLE 17 ZONING, BY UPDATING CHAPTERS 17.148 PARKING; TO ADD COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENTS TO BE ABLE DEVIATE FROM THE SPECIFIED PARKING STANDARDS PROVIDED A PARKING STUDY HAS BEEN PREPARED AND APPROVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND 17.200 TEMPORARY USES; TO MODIFY THE APPLICATION PERIOD, THE ADDITION OF THE APPLICABILITY TO PUBLICALLY OWNED LAND, AND THE ADDITION OF A SEASONAL TEMPORARY USE. MCA 2016 -01 IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA) GUIDELINES UNDER THE GENERAL RULE (SECTION 15061(6)(3)). THE PROJECT INVOLVES UPDATES AND REVISIONS TO EXISTING REGULATIONS. THE PROPOSED CODE AMENDMENTS ARE CONSISTENT WITH CALIFORNIA LAW, SPECIFICALLY GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65850.5 AND CIVIL CODE SECTION 714. IT CAN BE SEEN WITH CERTAINTY THAT THE PROPOSED MUNICIPAL CODE TEXT AMENDMENT WILL HAVE NO SIGNIFICANT NEGATIVE EFFECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS are hereby invited to attend this public hearing to present written information, express opinions or otherwise present evidence in the above matters.
