Recommendations
1. Accept the improvements into the City Maintained System
2. Authorize staff to file the Notice of Completion with the County Recorder
3. Authorize staff to release all retention monies 35 days after the filing of the
Notice of Completion
Background
On December 9, 2014, the City Council awarded the Design -Build contract to
GameTime /Great Western for the replacement of the play equipment at Machado Park.
The play equipment would replace the older, non - compliant equipment and surface
areas. It would also include elements for special needs populations.
Discussion
GameTime /Great Western completed the contract work on May 29, 2015 in
conformance with the approved plans and specifications.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for this project was allocated under the City's CIP adopted budget for the Fiscal
Year 2014/2015. The funding source was Park DIF. The project was completed on
time and within the approved budget.
