Contractor excavating for foundation system for the Cultural Center and shoring the facility. _ The City received notice from RCTC that the Mill Street project was approved by the Board and is now funded. Staff met with TKE Engineering (Design Firm) to provide Sidewalk Heald Avenue, the details to be added to the project. Improvements Sumner Avenue, 35% The final design submittal was due in SB -8 Mill Street March, due to the addition of Mill Street; the final design will be done by May. City Council approval of Change Order No. 1 is scheduled for March 26, 2013 Design was awarded at the April 24, 2012, City Council meeting. Contracts have been approved and DMC Traffic Signal Street Riverside Drive @ ° 0 /° started the design process on June 4, Improvements Grand Avenue 2012. Right -of -way has been completed; preliminary design is 50% complete. _ Staff received approval on the Right - of -Way certificate and the Preliminary Environmental Study. Staff is currently waiting for the Categorical Exemption Certificate to be Lake Elsinore Traffic Various School processed by Caltrans in order to Calming Project locations within the 0% finalize the Request for Authorization City to Proceed with Construction (RFA) application. Once the RFA has been submitted to Caltrans and approved, there is a 45 day processing time by the State. Design engineer is modifying the 60% Elm Street Paving / submittal to show the ultimate Diamond Circle 65% improvements that were required by Pavement Elm Street Paving the RFP. 60% plan check comments Rehabilitation were returned to the design engineer on February 14, 2013. Diamond Circle Rehabilitation was awarded to Landmark Site Contractors at the February 12, 2013, Diamond Circle City Council meeting. Notice to Pavement Diamond Circle 5% Proceed is anticipated for March 4, Rehabilitation 2013. Contractor to start placing curb and Gutter and cross gutters the week of March 11 , 2013 LAKE, PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT AGENDA REPORT TO: City Manager FROM: Pat Kilroy, Director of Lake, Parks & Recreation DATE: March 18, 2013 SUBJECT: Lake, Parks & Recreation Monthly Report PREPARED BY: Mary Santa Cruz, Office Specialist RECOMMENDATION: Receive and file. BACKGROUND: The following provides a summary of the Lake, Parks & Recreation Department's program, activities and events for February 2013: Administration Hydroseeding and planting of native vegetation was completed on the T- peninsula of the Levee System and will be followed by five (5) years of monitoring and maintenance to comply with the USACE's approved Habitat Mitigation & Monitoring Plan required for the construction of the La Laguna Boat Launch Facility. Parks & Facilities Renovations began at McVicker Canyon baseball fields to establish a new uniformed distance for base paths as set forth by the little league user group, bring in additional baseball clay to drag and level the fields; build a brand new pitching mound to meet specifications set by little league; all in preparation for their upcoming season. Special Events in February: Julie Szabo, Local member of the Audubon Society, led a bird walk for the Oceanside Birders on the levee system (2/17). Agility Trials sponsored by South Coast Vizsla Club and managed by Lynda Tjark Agility Productions took place at McVicker Park (2/15-2/18). This is the third year hosting this type of event in Lake Elsinore.
