Recommendations
1. Accept the improvements into the City Maintained System
2. Authorize staff to file the Notice of Completion with the County Recorder
3. Authorize staff to release all retention monies 35 days after the filing of the
Notice of Completion
Background
On October 23, 2012, the City Council approved a City Entry Monument and Wayfinding
Sign Program, authorizing the expenditure of $180,000.
This project included installation of two (2) entry ground monuments at two locations:
On Grand Avenue at Ortega Highway, and another on the Railroad Canyon Road
median south of Canyon Hills Road. The ground monument signs will serve as gateway
signs to the City, and provide a friendly and positive message to the pedestrians and
the motorists, while enhancing overall image of the City to promote business
development.
On January 13, 2015, City Council awarded the contract for the Entry Monument Sign
Project to Aramexx Construction. The Notice to proceed with construction was issued
for April 7, 2015.

Discussion
Aramexx Construction, completed the contract work in a timely manner on June 3, 2015
in conformance with the approved plans and specifications.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for this project was allocated under the City's CIP adopted budget for the Fiscal
Year 2014/2015. The funding source was Fund 105 General Projects. The project was
completed on time and within the approved budget.
